Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
Typical refereeing performances against us , Foster gets smacked in the back going for a header, no foul given , he soon after tries to challenge the same player strongly but not a foul and free kick given against him as the player makes a meal of it.
My rating is he was , ‘a total prat ‘ .

Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
He was very bad.
He gave two free kicks against us for fouling at our corners. When he saw them fouling he didn't allow the kick to be taken. He had a word and then allowed the corner kick to go ahead. Instead of just allowing the kick and if there's a foul, give a penalty.
Far too biased.

Homer.
Took him a long time to actually card anyone.
Did try to let the game flow though, I'll give him that.
A- 14
B- 15 consistently poor
C- 20
D - 14

Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
Yet again, we get an incompetent buffoon. He was clueless.
Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
Their keeper should have been booked for time wasting a long time before he was actually yellow carded.
Vincent Kompany was constantly in the ear of the 4th official about it as the referee did nothing until far too late in the game.

Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
I didn’t get to see any of the Reading match. Sounds like the ref was a bit better than usual then
Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
Kompany actually counted out about 23 seconds on his fingers in front of the 4th official. Ref was very weak and allowed them to get away with loads of timewasting

Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
A 12 a few fouls on our players waved away then free kicks awarded to Reading for very similar offences.
B 12 very much favoured the home side
C 18
D 10 how he took until the 90th minute to book their keeper was ridiculous. Every goal kick he was having a drink, pulling his socks up, cleaning his boots, walking around the area with the ball in his hands. Very poor from the ref.

If Referees booked goalkeepers every match for time wasting Nick Pope would be booked every week

Incompetent home blower
Ignored fouls on us and a stonewall penalty when the full back palmed the ball back to Time waster keeper.

Re: RATE THE REF - Oliver Langford v Reading
If he was then it would clamp down on the time wasting. I can remember one game that I think Tom Heaton was booked for time wasting early in the game (certainly first half and i am thinking first 30 minutes). it puts a stop to the sort of nonsense we saw on Saturday.DAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:34 pmIf Referees booked goalkeepers every match for time wasting Nick Pope would be booked every week
