Leeds-Liverpool

Post by tiger76 » Mon Apr 17, 2023 9:21 pm

Can't believe there isn't already a thread.

Anyone Liverpool lead 3-1 an hour gone.

Leeds once again a shambles defensively.

4-1. Leeds just dive in and get to the ball second time and time again. Liverpool are loving playing against such a rash team.

1-6 Leeds relegated? Now that would cap a great season.

Being selfish here as Leicester City are 30 minutes away, but would be over the moon if Leeds/Everton/Saints were relegated

Morale at Leeds must be rock bottom

Fulham is their next game. Can't see them getting anything at Craven Cottage.

2-11 over two home games is shocking against any opposition but unfortunately I can't see Forest, Leicester and Southampton getting above them to send them down.

At least it keeps DA in hiding. What a thrashing that was. Looked like a bit of trouble at mill between some of the so called defenders. And Manager disappeared in quick time. Sadly I still think they will scrape their way out of trouble. Forest are really poor

I recall us doing 0-11 in two home games back in early 99…we were promoted the following season!

If there is a football God, then it is Leeds, West Ham and Everton for the drop. If that happens I will show my arse in Leeds city centre Burton's window.

Can someone explain why Liverpool's first goal was allowed to stand? It seemed a very obvious handball from Alexander Arnold in the immediate build up. He very definitely gained an advantage in my view. :?

I was only half listening so m8ght be wrong, but didn't they say it happened too long before the goal was scored, to be taken into account.
Like I said, it might have been a different incident.

It's a handball in todays football, but it wasn't deliberate and you can't control the ball with your elbow.

So it shouldn't be a handball.

We need to get the word deliberate back into football decisions.

Colburn - Six seconds and two passes between the 'handball' and the goal.

Yes, I've seen the replay and that is handball, it must have been something else they were talking about.
