All of his injuries are listed here, but the most recent was Patella tendon irritation
He's played 392 mins of football for Real Madrid during the last season

Patella tendon irritation is nothing.
I once played 90mins with a broken leg and sustained major head injury whilst battling for a corner in the 63rd min yet still managed to score the winning goal in the 10th minute of injury time.

Tis but a scratch. Come over here and I'll bite your kneecaps off.

I have two total 't knee replacements and get Patella Tendonitis even now. Granted I don't play top level football in my late sixties but that doesn't sound like a serious injury to someone who does.

Get him in now and a full pre season and let’s get him Dyche fit….. oh wait.

No seriously he’s loaded we could give him pre season and offer him a contact at the end of pre season based on what VK sees in him. I’m sure he will be fine without money for a month or two.

He just doesn't look like the same player any more. Could be a bad move for us and him.

No chance, far to old. VK will never look at players like him. All paper talk.

It has been reported by incredibly good sources that we have offered a contract to 37 year old James Milner.

I think some are getting a bit carried away with the ‘only signing young players’ thing. Southampton did that this season and went down.

I’m thinking Kompany realises a bit of PL experience in there is required alongside our less experienced, younger players. It doesn’t have to be 3/4 older players but even just one would be handy.

I don't think Hazard will sign for us, even though Pace is seemingly ambitious and his friendship with Kompany. It'd be down to wages rather than age. And if he did, if, I could see him playing more centrally in a ten. A bit like Blake but not as good obviously.

Could be a masterstroke as a player-coach as a step into the next career path considering our two main wingers are both Belgian and should be inspired by it while knowing they will still end up playing a lot. Who better to teach them?

IF of course this is the Hazard career path he wants, and IF Vinny could see them working together long term. All ifs and maybes but I can see there is a chance, would be one to trust the manager on either way.

Jesus, no. We'd be naming the treatment room after him.

Yet still gets in a lot of peoples best ever elevens
He does indeed , inc my own . However that’s simply due to our endless yrs in the wilderness and the fact we’d never had a top quality classy European player ( in our prem yrs) . Ultimately we got just short of half a good season from him in 3. When occasionaly fit he was a top sight , yet his tenure was surrounded by misty eyed whimsy rather than hard facts .

I don't understand the point you're trying to make? I agree with you Defour was mainly unfit and struggling with injuries, and you're right we mine only got short of half a good season from him in 3 years. No one is denying the facts, I accept them and would gladly go back in time and still sign him again knowing it. Defour helped us to achieve a Europe spot, he was quality, and he wouldn't have signed for Burnley if he didn't have the injury problems.

Hazard could do a job off the pitch as well as on it. Just having someone as talented as him around could be a good thing.

This point shouldn't be ignored. Our young players said they were learning a lot from Barnes. Imagine what the likes of Benson and in particular Zaroury would get from training and playing alongside Hazard every week.
