Need a sale though, no loans or any of that tosh.

His ego side is because he wants to be a winner?Commy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 4:06 pmIsn't Barnes playing a similar role in linking play? Nobody is moaning about how many goals Barnes has scored but are saying how well he is playing. If Barnes goes he would take his place and is better technically. I understand his reasons for going but I didn't like the way he went about it. I think the ego side is because he wants to be a winner and expects the same from everyone, but It is whether he would fit in with the others in the squad.
I'd say his ego side is because he thinks he's better than he actually is.
We've got a very happy group of players now at BFC. Playing for each other and playing for the cause and Club. Weghorst never fitted in and IMO never will fit in here. Get Rid!

Offer him to Coventry with Mc Nally and we get Gykores for a decent fee

Re: Wout OUT!
We keep making money on him by sending him out on loan. Wasn't it reported that Man Utd paid £2.5m loan fee? Don't know what Besiktas paid but it is all adding up. Presuming they paid the whole of his wage as well.

Thinking about him makes me angry. He flopped for us and for MU, he's not good enough for the Premier League so why would we want him back.
32 premier league games and 2 goals.

I'm sure Wout Weghorst doesn't think that's too bad a result.

We can't afford to upset Connor Roberts mojo, WW can go play for Scunthorpe as far as I'm concerned

Uneducated - eh ? Reading the above it seems like you’re the one still at school. I think there should be a junior section for the message board.
Re: Wout OUT!
Roberts suggests that we sell him to Leeds. They are a massive club, are always on TV, and need somebody to spearhead their attack in the championship next year after Bamford has moved to sheff utd.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 8:05 pmWe can't afford to upset Connor Roberts mojo, WW can go play for Scunthorpe as far as I'm concerned
Re: Wout OUT!
You guys are getting your knickers in a twist of WW,is he worth it ,don’t think there’s anything wrong in suggesting that a lot of fans wouldn’t want him back, but I reckon most Burnley fans have a good idea what the majority feel, you only need to make a list of certain ex players ,and I think the majority would have the same opinion,eg Patrick Bamford,Paul Stewart ,John Bond,WW.
Re: Wout OUT!
Bad attitude or no bad attitude, I've seen nothing during his time at Burnley or Man United to suggest he's a premier league footballer.
If we can get anywhere near what we paid for him we should snap someone's hand off

2 goals in 34 premier league games for Wout now.
Unfortunately for him I think that might be his last ever premier league match. He has been nothing short off a massive failure at premier league level

Re: Wout OUT!
Funny t'other week a couple of posters were trying to tell everyone else how good he is.
Re: Wout OUT!
Genuinely staggering for how long some folk on here tried defending him as a player. Doubt there'll be much of that anymore. Absolute donkey of a footballer.
Re: Wout OUT!
We have a bit of Wout dilemma in a few weeks really. Let’s say June arrives and United have decided they don’t want him. We’ll have a month to find him another club or else he’ll be rocking up for pre-season training with us. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Re: Wout OUT!
No just not as bad as made out. I don’t think he’s been too bad at United but clearly not their future. He actually started off quite well and was impressive in a number of games. You don’t end up a Dutch international scoring 2 in a World Cup quarter final and firing your club into the Champions League if you are a ‘donkey of a footballer’. Yet it’s his personality that I just don’t think is right for what we’ve rebuilt here so I’m not keen on having him back.
Re: Wout OUT!
Possible but not sure why Besiktas would want him back after he deserted them mid season.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 9:13 pmI suspect he will be back in turkey within two weeks of the season finishing

Re: Wout OUT!
I think he’s a decent footballer but just not suited to the premier league at all. I can see why he has a relatively successful time in Germany and Turkey.RVclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 9:16 pmNo just not as bad as made out. However it has been clear for some time that he is just far too slow and weak for this league.

Re: Wout OUT!
If you're referring to UTD with the CL bit, he hasn't fired them to the champions league. Most charitable thing you can say is that he was on the pitch in games where UTD won points that put them in a CL spot, ie he was there when it happened, which isn't the same as Wout 'firing' them anywhere.RVclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 9:16 pmNo just not as bad as made out. Re: Wout OUT!
Out of his depth in this country seemingly, but his record elsewhere, the fact he did well at the World Cup, the fact he’s (somehow) at Man United and the fact that you’d think we’re as desperate to get rid as he is to get away from us mean that I truly think we’ll have no issue whatsoever finding a taker.
Weird thing is, as much as i just don’t think he’s ever going to get many goals in the Premier League, and possibly a questionable attitude, he’d fit our system wouldn’t he? Where he’s playing for United is similar to how we’ve deployed Barnes.

Re: Wout OUT!
No - Wolfsburg. He scored at a rate of 1 in 2 to secure them top 4 the season before we bought him. His scoring rate in Germany was only bettered by Haaland & Lewandowski during his time there. It’s strange because he hasn’t looked anything like a goalscorer at us or United.Spiral wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 9:24 pmIf you're referring to UTD with the CL bit, he hasn't fired them to the champions league. Fair do's, RV. That's why I put the provision in the post, I did think it possible you could've been referring to previous seasons.
