I’m calm………

Undefeated……….

Premier League bound……

Champions elect with full house on Saturday ready to party…..

Tickets for Rovers arrived……

Weekend trip to Bristol coming up……

Best football in years………….

Life not bad as a Claret fan…..

VK could not hide his disappointment at the result, keen to emphasise that “the game was not end to end”.

I’ve watched football long enough to know that when the real job is done the performances and results tend to plateau. It is nice to chase records but the reality is that this is not the priority. We comfortably beat our two biggest rivals over Easter and those were the games that really mattered. In the long run it is more important that VK is clear in his own mind who he wants to take into next season and if that means playing what might not be our strongest available side then so be it. It is not like we were playing the reserves in either the Reading or the Rotherham games: only really a small number of changes from the best available XI. Twine and Foster have shown more over the last two games and that is encouraging. We could and should have won both games but we were up against teams fighting for their lives. Much better to reflect on the fantastic season we have had than worry about a couple of draws towards the end when the hard work has already been done
