Do we have any news on Brownhill?
I'd stick with Foster for this game, Barnes in for Rovers match.

TBH I think that the team knows VK is "tinkering" and some of them (Maatsen and Vitinho) are already on the beach. QPR are in dire straits but they have a chance against us in this mood. The only game where he might pick the strongest team available is away to Rovers, as he knows how much it means to the fans.

-----------Muric--------------
Roberts THB Beyer Maatsen
--------Cullen Cork----------
Benson---Twine -----Zaroury
-----------Foster ------------

Given no news on Brownhill (otherwise, him in for Cork). Twine and Foster deserve another one, JBG played a lot lately, give him a rest in this one to be ready for the next one... Barnes too will be fresh for that one.

I’d keep Twine and Foster in, I’d like Muric back in though.

Agree RV - think Twine and Foster have done enough for another start against QPR.

Cork in for JBG, Benson in for Vitinho and get a similar result to the Huddersfield game. Champions with games to spare.

Yep this should be the team. Potentially drop Zaroury for Tella if he is around.

Kompany said Tella likely back for the Cardiff game if at all

I think we have to bear in mind that QPR will be absolutely slinging it into the box whenever they get a chance, so the team should reflect that

Cork and Ekdal to start

Muric in goal as well I think as you wouldn't want him going cold into the match v Rovers

You can’t just keep tinkering and expect to get results as per last games against teams we should be burying. We have only 4 games to go so pick the best available team and get it done.

I think it has to be strongest starting 11 who are fit. Tinker for last 20 mins if we have comfortable lead. Let’s go to Ewood as Champions.

Think Kompany alluded to Ekdal having an injury that may keep him out for a few weeks.

He did say that otherwise I'd pick him every time atm. Didn't someone post a stat that we'd only conceded twice in the league when he's started? I might be wrong, but still...

I know its an opportunity for squad rotation, but this comes at the cost of points, and the season could fizzle out with 4 draws , maybe even a loss in one of those games, if last night is anything to go by.

I dont think we can learn much more by playing Peacock Farrell, Vitinho,Taylor and to a lesser degree with Twine and Foster. By all means give Twine and Foster game time as subs brought on early, but I think the psychology of a strong finish linked with a good points haul will stand us well for next season

For Saturday assuming Josh & Tella are injured

Muric
Roberts THB Beyer Maatsen
Cork Cullen JBG
Benson Barnes Zarorry

My team ………

Peacock-Farrell
Roberts/ TH-B/ Beyer/ Taylor
Cork
Cullen/ Twine
Benson/ Barnes/ Zaroury

Peacock to spread his wings in goal. Taylor made to measure against a tricky winger. Beyer to do some of the grisly defending. Cork to bottle up the mid-field. Twine to pull the strings. Benson to bed in against a tired defender and up top I’m expecting another Barnes’ conversion.

Champions today …………. 1’s the team - 2’s Kompany - 3’s the crowd

UTC Exciting times.

You look at some of these teams and think “yes perhaps”.

You then see a 442 with a left winger in the right wing and a full back at left wing and think “what’s he been watching all season”.

Judging by Kompany’s comments this week he’s happy with Foster & Twine’s development and they are both highly likely to start every game other than Rovers.

If they both do well today I’d be tempted to start them at Ewood as well depending on who’s available.

Barnes isn’t known for looking sharp when he’s not been in the team.

If we are in to rotation how come Beyer starts every game (don't get me wrong I think he is a brilliant defender). Particularly as we have THB who is fit and sat out two games, and Taylor too. I appreciate Cullen and Roberts and several others, if fit, always start, but we have limited options in RB and CM, and these two simply have to start

It is clear Foster needs game time so I'm sure he'll start. I also think maybe Barnes has paid the price for his statement after the Boro game. But I'd still expect a swan song Tuesday.
BPF has been in the shop window but it will be Muric in goal today.

In fact as a team to confirm the title I'd expect all our big hitters to be in. ......including Tella (replacing Benson) and Brownhill (replacing Cork) if they were fit.

But I'll go with
Muric
Roberts
THB
Beyer
Maatsen
Cullen
Gudmundsen
Zaroury
Benson
Cork
Foster

I think he picked his strongest team today but they are basically in holiday mode. (Barnes & THB obviously had flip-flops on in front of goal) Hopefully they'll not be so at Ewood :o
