My mate made the excellent suggestion that Sky , or someone, should put together a cricket style graphic showing the trajectory and speed of each of the versions of “that goal” he has scored this season. Would be great to see.
In any event to score it three times in consecutive games in just 8 days is almost unbelievable !! Last night’s version has to be goal of the season given the context I think.
I think it’s goal of the season regardless of context. Unbelievable skill and technique.

How does he not start on the the pitch ??????

Is VK a magician or what ????
Ross Wallace on Clarets Plus said it is because he gets so much physical aggression he is a wreck after 60 minutes.

May get better protection in the Premier League (though I won't hold my breath for that happening) especially for the serious rough stuff but will probably remain an impact player rather than a 90 minute guy, at least until he can make himself a bit more robust.

Company explained why in his interviews. I think he said 2 90 min matches in quick succession might be too much. He put Vitinho in to run at them and tire them out then bring Benny on to finish them off.

I think he more get more protection in the premier compared to this year so that should aid his fitness. Been absolutely superb but Vincent has used him wisely. UTC

Don’t know if this has already been mentioned, but a stat I heard today was Benson has scored his 10 goals from an xG of just 4.0

I know some people don’t like the xG stat but it does show that he does create something out of nothing

The man deserves his name to be sung loud proud and for a good duration v Cardiff at home. The Zaroury song seems to be more popular but Benson deserves every bit of adulation and acclaim.

There’ll also be a lot less Saturday/Tuesday/Saturday sequences with less marches. That’ll make a huge difference.

According to infogol, his goal probabilities for the least 3 goals were 4% at Blackburn, 4% against QPR, 3% at Rotherham. Which suggests the xg for Benson from the corner of the area may need a little adjustment!

He's electric.
I actually think he could be one who's even better in the PL. They can't kick lumps out of him the same to slow him down and have to be mindful of VAR if they try to be sly. He will terrorise half the league.

You could tell he had something special very early doors, but he was extremely hit and miss. There were a couple of games early in the season when every effort was shanked. As the season has progressed he has become our most consistent threat and is an absolute joy to watch. Tuesday's goal was strange in that the ball was so obviously going to hit the back of the net as soon as it left his boot.

Like all of our players he will have to make a big step up next season - defenders will be more savvy and quicker, and PL goalkeepers would have stopped a number of our more spectacular goals this season. So, similarly to Tella and Zaroury, the output is likely to be considerably lower (hence our need for a goalscoring CF in my view) but it's exciting to be embarking on a new season in the top flight with exciting players like Benson.

For the above, my thoughts on Foster...

Personally I’m hoping he’s kept just below the radar (ala AZ) but some of his goals and his pure speed is bound to have put him on a few shortlists .

Better full backs won't make it as easy for him to constantly come inside on his favourite foot though.

Mahrez has the ability to go on the outside as well these days. I'm not sure if that's something he's really worked on at City, but Benson could definitely pick up a few things by watching him.

The little dink into the box for the equaliser against Rotherham at the Turf was an absolute delight.

He’s such a clever player.

I’m getting mixed up - it was the winner against Reading where he dinked it into the box after a mazy run.

Against Rotherham he just scored his standard worldie

To be fair I think Mahrez always had the ability to get to the byline even at Leicester, he certainly had the ability to con refs when he was there.

He doesn't seem to do as much diving now as he did then. Definitely an exciting player to watch, lets hope Benson can emulate him.

i think Vinny is working and buil;ding on his full match fitness and how he can achieve that. But his bench impact is better then his start rating. With the squad Vinny can build up the squad will always be important and this is part of our growing into the new league and squad. Superb player mind. Unplayable maybe. And maybe he will get more protection in the Premier cos he hasnt had much in the Championship
