Kompany post-match

Post by Pickles » Tue Apr 25, 2023 10:31 pm

"For anyone who doesn't know, this game is massive and this will be talked about for generations."

What a quote, what a man, what a night, what a season.

Orchestrated it. He knew winning the title would be huge. He knew winning the title at Ewood would be LEGENDARY and NEVER forgotten. (I doubt any Burnley fan would ever forget this season anyway!). :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Like at Boro, he was properly enjoying it and was quite moved by it.

I was also at Maine Rd in 1960, royboy, but I think this season has been one of the very best I have had the pleasure to watch.

So difficult to compare with Connelly, Mac, Pointer and the rest, Vino.....but this side under VK is a pleasure to watch.

Brilliant Knee Slide.

Also, well done to him for stopping Brownhill winding their fans up.

He's pure class alround

How true but impossible to compare
This lot would be hopeless on the pitches from those days
And our 59-60 team would be run ragged by this team on todays pitches

He's really embraced everything about Burnley, fair do's. When you think of all he did in his playing career, he still seems hungrier than ever. Never once mentioned the standard he played at or disparaged the Championship at all either, top class.

Whether VK stays for years or leaves tomorrow, he will be remembered as a hero at this club for the memories he’s given us.
