Joe Rankin-Costello
What an absolute arsehole.
Was hoping that Barnes would take his head off his shoulders.
Born in Stockport apparently, must have got the jealousy from his Dad.

I thought he did really well and was aware of the importance of the game. Broke up play well too.

A weasel….
Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Ashley was brilliant, under Dyche he would have probably done something he shouldn’t which would have cost us, under Kompany he’s been sensible and kept his head. Costello’s plan was clear, wind Ashley up and try to get him walked. Well done
to AB. As far as I’m concerned he will definitely “always be a claret”.

No different to the way Barnes plays...Fair play to him.

Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Probably should have been sent off , given some of his nonsense first half then the yellow early in the second.
Was giving it Billy big ******** all game. Unfortunately for him he was up against an all timer in that department .

Looks like a rat. Should have had 2nd yellow on final whistle for booting one of our players.

He could easily have been sent off, but he was fighting for his team. I was impressed by their midfielder, Wharton, and wouldn’t mind seeing him at Burnley.

You're correct but my OP wasn't just about him and Barnes.beddie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 10:55 pmAshley was brilliant, under Dyche he would have probably done something he shouldn’t which would have cost us, under Kompany he’s been sensible and kept his head. He was at it from the first minute, nasty like.
I know our Barnes likes a bit/lot of shithousery, but I've never seen him be as nasty as that arsehole was.

Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Rovers have some good young players, including this lad
Wharton was the best player on the pitch as well
But they have no goal threat at all

Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Wharton will play his trade in the big leagues no doubt.
Only 18 and extremely composed - looked like he’s been playing first team football for years
Made a slight cock up against Benson that cost him but he’s got a bright future.

Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
they don't know their football at Ewood, Rankin got their Man of the Match - Wharton was outstanding for them. I hope we put a bid in for him even if it's just for shits and giggles

Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Wharton looks a class player tbf, only 18 could see him in an England shirt in a few years already in the England age groups, its the thing we as club need to start doing producing our own players
Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Some absolutely pathetic and biased comments on here about a decent footballer, this messageboard is a absolute joke.

Wharton is the talent in that side. Lot of journeymen otherwise.
Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Yes Wharton looks a good 'un and would be a useful addition to our squad.

Re: Joe Rankin-Costello
Wharton, and his brother came through Rover's Academy and are lifelong Rovers fans, can't see that happening .... Agree with you about Rankin-Costello though, fighting for his team. Last night, that Rovers team were a different beast to their supine effort last time round.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 11:06 pmHe could easily have been sent off, but he was fighting for his team.
