ClaretsPadiham was the poster talking up a ‘very controversial plane’ pre-Ewood. I like to imagine Burnley Express reporters read that thread and conducted a dawn raid on local airfields to shut it down.

It happened! It’s just that the geniuses behind it didn’t realise it’d be invisible in the night sky.

Did you notice the plane flying over Evilwood on Tuesday . It had no banner . The Barstewards are speechless!

BEWARE that link to buy the Burnley Express is a scam , bought two copies but it also includes purchasing tickets for an event in Edinburgh of the same name and subscribes you to other events.

You might be right got an email confirmation, however I then saw a ticket for some seminar. Looked on Burnley Express website and can’t see any reference to the souvenir paper
Any locals out there, know if such a thing exists?

I am expecting to get the Expresses but the scam seems to be charging us for other events and a subscription we don’t want.

But kindly Leisure has confirmed he will reimburse us for any fraudulent money taken from us for posting the link😃.

The link does at least take you to something seeming linked to National World Newspapers which I think is the owning group of the Burnley Express.

Hi John,

No, it's not a scam; just a way of ordering a copy of tomorrow's paper.

Kind regards

Lol. The Burnley Express should follow some criminal code? OK. I suppose their website is that bad it should be illegal, or it was when I gave up on it years ago. I come on this site for my Burnley local news these days. I suspect I've not missed much.

Just another thing to give the Express and other local papers a bad name, when they need all the help they can get. I work in that industry and believe me the bosses of these papers/websites are some of the sh&ttiest around
