I've heard that he's booked a flight for after the game to visit his Mother.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 10:37 amWe should really enjoy the next 48 hours, because after the last game of the season the frenzied speculation will really start

Re: If VK goes
West ham always a bigger draw than Burnley. Even When on the bad runs still packing 50 thousand in. But he won't be going there just yet if at all. Not a chance VK will be going there but the media just can't leave it alone.

Not a chance. He’ll be with us next season and possibly another one. Typical West Ham, they struggle so go back cap in hand for Moyes, he sorts them out and then this season because they’re struggling they talk about sacking him. Who’d want to work for a - ick of an owner like that. Vincent is smarter than that.

Re: If VK goes
Was very worried by the Spurs link as I don’t think that’s a job he could turn down, really. That looks like it’s not happening.
Not concerned by possible links to the likes of West Ham, Everton, Leicester etc. I can’t see him going currently outside of Spurs.

Re: If VK goes
Just being realistic
And it will get a lot worse when the premier league season finishes
Wouldn't have it any other way though, just shows how well he's done for us and us for him

Anyone outside the big six with the possible exception of Villa is not a lot more appealing than us.

Re: If VK goes
Ive said it before - he has two strategies. One is straight in to the City job, the second is to manage Everton, Leeds, Villa, or Wolves as a proving gig for the city job. Why these four? It allows him to be geographically based where he wants to be. He literally moved to us to be next to his wife’s family AND that we were a legitimate project to be back in the premier league. It was a no-brainer for him.
Having done that he’s not going to relocate his family away from Manchester and I cannot see him doing the long commute and separation that Dyche did/continues to do in managing us/Everton

I am pretty much sure he has said he didn't come to us for geographical reasons. Also pretty sure that he also said that he had offers from teams with perceived bigger "badges" but he didn't want to go down this route.NRC wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 2:05 pmIve said it before - he has two strategies. The reasons he gave for being at Burnley were broadly that he wanted a club where he could develop and have the support and alignment he needed from a fans/ownership perspective and to be somewhere that shared his vision. Burnley were the club for him.
