You'd think they'd be on the bench though instead of an extra goalie, who also won't feature next season

Players might not want to play if they have moves lined up with a risk of injury.
I know Arfield wouldn't come on for the last 5 minutes to say a goodbye. Possibly Dean Marney as well.

Yes, it seems that VK has hit wonderfully with his signings but both haven't really made much of their chances.

The injured players ( Beyer, Ekdal, Tella )were all absent from the Training ground photo from Thursday. Everyone else was there. Bastien wasnt on the photo, maybe suggesting he is actually injured ?
