I’d let them win if I were Luton. Guaranteed to batter them in the play off semi.

Annoyed as I’d just looked at the table to see what damage a loss would’ve done to them. I’ll take the hit for jinxing it…..

A draw isn’t a huge help. They still need to win at Millwall and hope neither WBA or Sunderland win.

biggest celebrator of their goal are the Mackems - they want a draw so that the Inglorious are still motivated to beat Millwall next Monday. If both win next week Sunderland get their place in the playoffs

Lutons subs changed the game towards barstewards. Can’t blame Edwards, he’s got more matches to win.

It’s probably best result for my Sunderland mates. A loss today and they wouldn’t have anything to play for against Millwall. At least now they have to go for it and win to have a chance

If Sunderland win they’ll still miss out regardless of their result

Anyone else think the commentator on sky wanted rovers to win. Had several digs at Burnley.
Wharton disappeared after Luton’s goal . He is a good passer but not a game changer

Rovers were the better side, they were at full tilt and still couldn't beat a team that were asleep for 90 minutes

Eight points out of the last 30 available .... don't deserve to make the play-offs, that's relegation form !!

The perfect scenario now has to be that Bastards batter Millwall and spend most of the afternoon in the play off positions only for Sunderland and West Brom to score late, late winners.

They don't have much of a goal threat ... Brereton-Diaz is clearly mentally already in Spain, as he's signed a pre-contract agreement with Villareal, Gallagher is out for the season, and Dack looks a stone overweight and off the pace ...

Check the maths. That late goal gives them hope.
The way things have gone for them this season, if they should happen to beat Millwall, I've no doubt that both WBA and Sunderland will fail to win.
It's just been that sort of season.
Imagine still being in with a chance of promotion with their 17 (yes 17) defeats and minus GD.

Yep; fair point but Millwall away to get 3 points is a massive task....or should be.

it isn't though

Its petty, its vindictive, its completely against the spirit of how football should be, its shows Blackburn Rovers to be the small minded team we always knew they were and it absolutely highlight just how their fan base still can't deal with us being equal (and a lot better) than them

But its not discriminatory

Based on the betting odds, being converted to %

Rovers winning (14/5), and both Sunderland (5/4) and West Brom (5/6) failing to win means the treble is about 14 and a half to 1.... or in % terms 6.37% likelihood of happening.... or normalising for bookies margin, around 8%

Oh I agree, but what the odds have been last August of Rovers losing all those games, (17) having an inferior GD, and still being in with a chance on the last day?
(As I suggested, the problem is that no team seems to really want that fourth spot. Only Coventry have put a run together.)

Why isn’t it ? They only did it (limited tickets to a number below demand) against us didn’t they ? And if so isn’t that pretty much a perfect example of a discriminatory action ?

They met the league rules

It makes them look so s**t and I'm happy enough with that!

Day 2 of Barsteward fans turning over in their minds whether Preston can be a***d to give Sunderland a game or whether Swansea will want to sign off with a good performance against West Brom whilst at the same time hoping beyond hope that their favourites can stand up to Millwall at a hostile New Den……knowing all the time that it was us that dumped them in this position….and won the league on their turf. Karma Mr Garner; karma!

The draw on Monday was the perfect result.. they have to cling to the smallest bit of hope possible and some will now travel to Millwall (granted not many at all) and waste their money and time.

The last 6-7 games have helped them realise they are a poor side and now they get another game to give them a reminder.

I don't think they are a poor side.
They are a very promising team of (mainly) youngsters who have overachieved, but if they had an experienced captain and one or two good Championship level strikers they would have got over the line.
I though they played really well at Leicester in the Cup, and played good football against us at Ewood, but recently they've been short of goals.
