Can’t see that one. Looks like a story to push the Tella deal along

34 in 50 is one hell of a record even for the Scottish league, one to consider for sure.

I feel like the kyogo one is a lazy story, saying we have been priced out of a move for tella, don’t see kyogo being cheaper than tella

Any Sunday story from Nixon he has been keeping back a few days.
So won't be much in it.
If something was happening he would have released the info days ago.

I’d be very happy with Kyogo. Here’s his 34 goals:

Can’t see there being anything in it though.

A very very good player. Not a striker but would fit a Zaroury Flemming Benson behind a striker.IanMcL wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 10:57 pmMillwall's Zian Flemming. Bid made.

He’d score about the same amount as WW would against decent Prem defendersNewClaret wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 11:36 pmI’d be very happy with Kyogo. Here’s his 34 goals:

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
So who do you think will exit this summer.
For me (who I think will go, not who I want to go)
BPF -sold
Taylor - sold
Thomas - sold
McNally - loan
Weghorst-sold
Dodgson -loan
Costelloe- loan
Brownhill - possibly sold late in window.
Churlinov- sold (depending on wellness)
CJER - loan/sold depending on state of injury.
JBG possible sale
Bastien - possible sale depending on squad depth.
Just my thoughts and no great surprises with any of them. Would lead us very light but with the rumours flying around of incoming’s then room will have to be made.

I’d be prepared to place a large bet he’d outscore WW’s 2 in 37.Rick_Muller wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 6:50 amHe’d score about the same amount as WW would against decent Prem defenders
Or put another way, I very much doubt Weghorst VK would score 34 in the SPL.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I think we'll keep hold of Taylor and Brownhill. And fancy a change of heart with Weghorst and he ends up staying.Guller Bull wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 6:51 amSo who do you think will exit this summer.

Nixon:
Burnley are emerging as the ONLY bidders for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke - but the clubs are far apart on valuation.
Vincent Kompany’s men hope to pull off the coup and their chances are boosted as Brentford and Crystal Palace have yet to follow up interest with an offer.
However Sunderland want much more than the latest Burnley attempt which is around £10 million in installments
He also mentions that City could look to sell Harwood-Bellis for around £15m but that has put Burnley off.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
At this moment in time our starting squad is actually weaker than last season
Beyer signs and replaces himself
O'Shea signs and replaces THB but will probably end up 3rd/4th choice
Obafemmi most likely to sign and replace himself on the bench at best
Maatsen back to parent club at this moment
Tella back to parent club at this moment
Barnes moved on after being our main central striker for a good part of the season
Taylor into his last year and the only recognised LB we have
Add to that the need for at least one extra CM
And one extra striker
5 or 6 new signings as a minimum
However it seems to be that most of our closest rivals are also without new faces so far and will no doubt have similar or the same targets
It looks like there will be a bidding war out there

A Sunderland supporting friend: I hope not as he's quality. Definitely good enough for the Prem. You will need to offer a lot more than the reported £7 million. Hope he stays as he scores and makes goals.burnmark wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 7:20 amNixon:

Nixon also mentioned City might sell James Trafford for 6m+ extras.
Seems a more reasonable fee than the 15m we’d seen mentioned lately.

I'm looking forward to Muric in the Prem and think he's up to the job. It'll be heart in mouths again like it eas earlier this season, but we'll be fine.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I think a loan is much more likely. Either way it seems certain that VK wants a new keeper so it will be interesting to see what that means for Muric.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
You think we'll use a loan spot for what is probably going to be a backup keeper? Common sense says we'll buy him or move on.

We will need at least another 4 signings through the door as we are weaker than last season going into the Premier league and sooner rather than later.

Nixon mentioning THB for 15mil a week after mentioning tella for 15mil, 15mil seems to be the figure Sunderland want for clarke, it’s like it’s the fixed fee when it comes to Burnley

It’s crazy that people pay for Nixon, paid for him to say we are only bidders for Clarke which was his story 3 weeks ago

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I think it's more of a case that VK realises that signing another keeper of Muric's ability (or indeed better) is absolutely essential.
Just imagine if we went into the season without a 2nd high quality keeper and Muric were to pick up a long-term injury in the first couple of games.
BPF playing up until January, and then being held to ransom in the January window because everyone else knows we are desperate.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I'd be surprised if we spend many millions - say £10m plus - on a reserve keepernil_desperandum wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 8:39 amI think it's more of a case that VK realises that signing another keeper of Muric's ability (or indeed better) is absolutely essential.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
But how do you know he'd be the reserve?
Muric could even get an injury in training before the season starts.
(IMO) any team to be taken seriously in the PL needs two PL standard keepers.
(I agree however that we are highly unlikely to pay upwards of £10 million, though if it were Trafford then it might rise to significantly more if he were to reach his full potential and move on for a big fee.)

Seems our owners have put plenty of bids in for players, way below asking price.
The same thing Garlick used to get pelters for.

The only thing you can judge the owners on is the players they get through the door and you can’t really at this stage compare the current owners to Garlick in that respect.
