Got a lot of time for Charlie Taylor but he is wasted here. Sell him and bring in Maatsen and A.N. Other. Everyone's a winner.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
5 weeks tomo until the big KO. VK said it had helped us massively in terms of signings knowing our fate so early.I wonder if this is more in terms of knowing who we wouldn’t want for the PL that we would have wanted for the Championship. Doesn’t look like we’ve stolen a march on other clubs yet.

If we can do a deal that suits us for Chaz then I think we should do it if it means bringing in our targets (Maatsen for a sensible fee only). Not sure if Manning would be up to the prem or not but on a free would be tempting. He’s be a great free in the championship for sure. We do need two left backs if Taylor leaves , my only issue with him leaving is that it leaves us with even less experience in the squad .

Not too bothered about this one as we have 4 very good centre backs already. More concerned about midfield and a striker123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 6:52 pmThe first training session took place today with Marco Reus, Mats Hummels, Thorgan Hazard, Mateu Morey, Niklas Süle, Thomas Meunier, Julien Duranville, Alexander Meyer, Soumaila Coulibaly and Felix Nmecha among others.

Ellis Simms looks like he's going from Everton to Coventry, you would think they assume Gykores is out of the door soon

Staying roughly on the same subject ,What would the Burnley fans think about signing Mason Greenwood?

He certainly deserves a chance to resurrect his football career somewhere and at some time in the future
The video kinda speaks for itself, and if you are happy with someone like that pulling on a Burnley shirt then perhaps you might need to think a little bit about what your priorities are and what is important in life

I think in todays society ,players need to be able to be under scrutiny ,and also be able to work in a team environment ,but not all players are what they seem,12 months ago I wouldn’t have touched Grealish with a barge pole ,but he’s just a big daft lad with a heart of gold ,and if Pep wanted rid we could swap him for Benson.,but lads who knock their wives ,and girlfriends about are a definite no no.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Experience is great, as Barnes admirably showed last season. But I think we already have adequate experience in the team-Rodriguez can provide what Barnes has vacated, Brownhill provides it in midfield and Roberts in defence. No point hanging on to experience if the player can't make the starting elevenHedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 5:54 pmIf we can do a deal that suits us for Chaz then I think we should do it if it means bringing in our targets (Maatsen for a sensible fee only). If there is any interest in Taylor we need to capitalise and get a fee for him.Our future business model will rely partly on getting top prices for your stars. The incremental profit is by selling the "non star performers" at the right time and getting the best return. We have become very good at letting players run their contracts down. I dont mean the Tarks and Mee of this world, as I for one wanted them to stay on in the final year in our bid to stay up. However we did not try very hard with the likes of Lowton, Long, Peacock Farrell, and Cork and Rodriguez may well come into this category, depending on what players we recruit in the next 5 weeks or so

Can’t see there being anything in the Chilean lad link. Never heard of him but if the wiki page is correct I wouldn’t want him anywhere near our club, and I don’t think Kompany would either.

We've had a lot of transfer talk on several players because of media and ' inside information'.
It will be very interesting how many of these come off compared to signings like O'Shea who go through without any trumpeting.
Personally I think it's a load of baloney motivated by the need for personal income and kudos
