You can argue it is more than that, even though he played in the Dortmund reserves/B team, in Germany they are involved in the league set up, so he has just done a full season in German equivalent of League One.randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:54 pmBased upon the 61 minutes of First Team football he's played ?
So he has played a lot more than 61 minutes of professional football, the level he played at and how this sets him up as a good signing for the Premier League is debatable.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Be nice to be linked to some players with high level experience in addition to unproven young ones.

What, pre season friendly against Kings Lynn?

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
well so far VK has brought in Beyer, Ekdal, Dakhil and McNally and they've all done very well. I think we should trust one of the best CB's in PL history to judge a good CB rather than how many minutes he's played.randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:54 pmBased upon the 61 minutes of First Team football he's played ?
Dakhil had played a whole 38 professional games when we signed him and now he plays for Belgium !!!!!!!!

No. He was 20 in his first season for Saints and 21 in his second. He was 22 last year with us.

Did you see that game or any of his appearances ?
Or are you just checking Wikipedia every 10 minutes to try and back up whatever point you are struggling to make ?

Would be great if we could sign up Harwood-Bellis as well as Trafford.
Give us the basis of a strong spine to the team.

I love how everyone has gone from questioning the sanity of the Trafford deal, to now hoping that price still stands
As I said when the news first broke, trust in VK. He knows what he's doing.
Great U21 tournament from Trafford.

He’s 1.92m according to Transfermarkt, which is about 6’3”.
Not that it matters, but he doesn’t look 6’6” so I’ll take Transfermarkt over Wiki.

Assumption with Trafford is he needs a medical before confirming the transfer?

I thought when this first broke at the start of this week, all the trusted news sources said the medical was the next day.
Perhaps we need him for the signing on video before it can be announced,
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I think the clubs made an agreement. Usually the player waits until after the tournament before signing the contract. Happened with Verbruggen too after the Netherlands went out in the group stage.
After missing out on Bart I'm thrilled we've found another one at least as good. It will be interesting to see how both players will develop throughout the season.

It was pointed out to those on here saying he was having a medical that there wasn't a cat in hells chance of him having a medical whilst involved in the later stages of the competition, can't remember seeing a news article saying it, but might have missed it.

That seems a pretty reasonable thing to say.
You still haven’t said which games you have watched which suggest otherwise - you are now saying there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that’s rubbish.
What evidence ?
How many games did he even start for Southampton ? My guess is you never even saw him play before he came to Burnley.
