Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
5 international goals against Belarus, Israel, Andorra and Romania (2) at a goal every 46 mins (5 apps). Decent.

Andouni does have good stats. Scored 2 in each of Europa Conference League semi, quarter and last 16. Scored against Spain in recent U21 tournament quarters, only going out after extra time. Only 12 in the Swiss League but didn’t start every game and often he scored when he did.
Some good teams in those opponents faced that he has bagged against. Equivalent to lower end Premier League I reckon.

Hello everyone. As an FC Basel fan my view on your new striker Zeki Amdouni: Amdouni will join Burnley FC for a fee rumoured to be above 15 million euros according to the most reliable sources around FC Basel. He‘s a player capable of playing as the number 9 or behind the striker. Having only joined Basel last summer on loan (with buy option) from Lausanne he straightaway was their best player in my opinion, even though he didn’t start scoring regularly until the start of this year. His abilty in tight spaces, technical abilities and game intelligence are amazing. He can finish off either foot and scores some headers as well. He‘s fairly quick on the first few metres but lacks some pace afterwards. it will be interesting to see how he can adapt to the physical demands of the PL. Wherever he‘s been it always took him some months to get comfortable and start scoring so give him time before you judge him.

1) Do you have a box over there at Basel? Regular fans don't just cut the mustard on UTC.
2) Sorry, no can do... If he's not bagged by half time against City he'll be written off as "pony" by this really bright chap we've got on here.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Just waiting on the comments about how Zeki Amdouni is 22 and will have great sell on value in a few years, please if we do sign him can we enjoy him for a season before we consider the usual "What can we sell him for?" discussion? haha, what a great time to be a Burnley fan - can't wait for the season to start.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Yes I do. Have some connections to the team/staff but nothing special. Still a regular Basel fan though, just one who also watches the PL and the Championship and loved Burnley games last season and therefore I decided to share my thoughts on here.

500k upfront and 15m if he outscores HaalandLancasterclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 2:53 pmObviously we won't know what those bonuses are, but looks a much more realistic fee for us

Sacha Tavolieri has tweeted that we gave up on the race for Mikautadze after our latest bid was rejected by Metz....turned to Amdouni, who he reckons is the better player.

I presume Ekdal will have put in a good word.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
His recent stats make impressive reading. According to Fotmob in 39 games since the World Cup break he has scored 27 goals. In the 25 games last season before the break he scored 2 in 25. If he keeps up that rate of increase we have a superstar on our hands!

If you had the reported fees for Trafford and Amdouni to the summer spends already, puts us close to 60mil, that’s why picking up someone like Redmond on a free (yes still paying his wages) is also very good business

the fees are paid over years though, not many teams can just hand over 60 million up front123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 3:21 pmIf you had the reported fees for Trafford and Amdouni to the summer spends already, puts us close to 60mil, that’s why picking up someone like Redmond on a free (yes still paying his wages) is also very good business

Trafford 14
Amdouni 13
O’Shea 7
I get 42 so far. Can get another player or two before hitting 60!

Still 60mil spent, the point still stands that signing a 29 year old free agent to boost the squad is good business, I’m well aware that transfers aren’t done upfrontVegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 3:25 pmthe fees are paid over years though, not many teams can just hand over 60 million up front

if we get Redmond I think he's a great signing for us with the way we play, loads of experience, still quick etc. No brainer123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 3:28 pmStill 60mil spent, the point still stands that signing a 29 year old free agent to boost the squad is good business, I’m well aware that transfers aren’t done upfront

when you look at Amdouni's highlights reel I can imagine that Zaroury, Benson and him will cause an awful lot of problems for most teams. Compare their mobility and vision to what we had last time we were in the PL..............sort the midfield out and we could be in for another good season imho.

I’ve got to say that “swissguy “ speaks perfect English for someone, I am assuming, is a foreigner. He uses nuances and phrases in English which are incredible for a foreigner so I would love to know if he is an expat Brit or a Swiss guy who has spent many years in England.

Should change his name to Swizzguy. Despite that I hope this one goes through pretty quickly and doesn't fade into oblivion like some of the others have.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 3:52 pmI’ve got to say that “swissguy “ speaks perfect English for someone, I am assuming, is a foreigner. I'm not sure how Palmer playing at Brighton is a help to Man City though especially as he might not get that much game time and with the possible players Brighton are going to lose this window.
