Yeah just double checked and he played 17 times on the right wing last season, 10 at attacking mid and 7 on the left.

It’s worth mentioning that JBG will not be playing as a winger and can be counted out of our ‘number of wingers’ list.

VK sees him very much as an eight/attacking midfielder

I don’t think we will see him play wide at all.

I am not sure but I am assuming this gentleman is being brought in to play that Flemming role.

I just can’t see the club having so many players on the books.

Taking money etc… out of the equation this lad looks like a really promising youngster

Likely be a total fee of €11m euros with future bonuses etc.

So approx £9.4m.

There was a guy on here a week or so ago who said Benson had done his ACL. We all said it was rubbish, me included, but the continued absence of Benny and then the insane volume of wide player links just made it pop back into my head.

Surely we’d know though?

(Sorry to speculate on this, just something that occurred to me…).

I suspect that those making the decisions will be basing said decisions on more than that YouTube video.

Thanks, hadn’t seen that.

As an ACL sufferer that is all I needed to hear as I could barely walk 20 steps without buckling whilst I was waiting on surgery

Can we drop this panic about signing wingers. They are all footballers.
When England won the World Cup with Ramseys wingless wonders wingers all over the country became MFs. At our club alone Ralph Coates and Willie Morgan, although after his move. Some fantastic MFs came out of this batch of former wingers.

Obviously it's only YouTube clips but he looks world class.

One observation is that we would probably play 4 each game. Kompany nearly always subs his wide players. So maybe we need a pool of 6-7.

Turkish clubs always seem like the pawn shop of football clubs. They always end up underpaying for players (usually the ones clubs are happy to get rid of).

Muric will have a rep in Turkey from his loan spell there but we’ve got to be looking for more than 8m. Though if you’d have asked me after the Blackpool home game I’d have bitten your hand off. Most improved player last year by a country mile and deserves the chance to start the season as number 1, even considering the fee for Trafford.

I'm a huge Muric fan but if it's a case of selling our back-up goalie for more than twice what we paid a year ago, it's a bit of a no brainer.

It isn't happening yet but I do think some people are going to really overreact when we start selling our better players.

Assuming VK gets Lokonga performing as he was pre-Arsenal then we need a decent price inserting now as the risk of him suddenly becoming a £30m+ player in a year which would be a shame for us.

Must’ve been bad/worse than any other ACL as you can still walk once you’ve done it. Maybe you’ve got a funny walk?
