Just because one season in Serie A he isn’t had a good season doesn’t mean he doesn’t score goals and I was merely pointing out that someone’s reckon doesn’t mean they won’t do well for us and used tella as an example that’s all. You don’t think he will come to us?

Will some one delete all my posts next time DCWat,and CoolClaret are involved ,it’s like trying to have an intelligent discussion with 2 Rovers fans ,if it’s your biggest gripe arguing about a poor throw then life’s been so good to you both.

I can remember him playing rb in the 4-0 win against Swansea at home then I think against Norwich the following match but I don’t think he’s played there since.Taffy on the wing wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 10:38 pmHas Vitinho ever actually played right back for us?

I suggest you look at my post history instead of suggesting that I’m not adequate of an intelligent discussion re football and likening me to a Rovers fan.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
This may have been the first time that I’ve ever quoted you.
Heaven forbid someone has a different perspective to your own.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Not a question of a different perspective ,imagine a reporter after the match interviewing VK ,and “ Now then Vince I thought we played quite well against the team 2nd in the Premier League form table for 2023 ,but about those 2 throw ins “ does seem a little bit like nit picking don’t you think?
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
And I wouldn’t expect it to be asked if VK in an after game interview.Carwin261 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 10:56 pmNot a question of a different perspective ,imagine a reporter after the match interviewing VK ,and “ Now then Vince I thought we played quite well against the team 2nd in the Premier League form table for 2023 ,but about those 2 throw ins “ does seem a little bit like nit picking don’t you think?
Not a surprise to see it mentioned on a fans forum though.
Not the right thread for it though to be fair.

Another player i would have on loan to play the number 6 role alongside Cullen would be Eric Dier, he could drop into defence if needed to

And thankfully you're not the manager of BFC. Dier is another example of a player that thinks he's better than actually is and just like Maguire prob got himself on a very inflated contract at Spurs123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 7:58 amI would play dier next to Cullen not as a cb every week

They've both played the majority of their careers at the top level and have played 57 and 49 games respectively for England. I'd say the suggestion that both are good players is very fair. Maybe they both need a fresh start (certainly Maguire) but to say they aren't good players is nonsensebuzzclarets79 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 8:27 amI've read some stuff on this thread and indeed forum but that for me is a belter of a post.

Tresor offer has been accepted by Genk, don't know if anyone posted it yet. Still need to come to an agreement with the player.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Nixon's reply to a Sheff Utd supporter re left backs was that there seemed to be a shortage. He said Man Utd were looking for one but couldn't find one. I presume he means decent ones so it might be the reason we are struggling. If teams are aware they might be asking far too much for them.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I watch Leicester quite a bit being close to the ground. Daka is very quick, but rather lightweight. Style of play not dissimilar to Vydra, and not a prolific goal scorer at LCFC. Has not really won the fans over at Leicester in 2-3 years. Having said that he might suit our style of play, but I would have thought the physical abilities of Origi would be more suited to us.Suspect Daka would cost us £25m-ish

We can loan origi for a year and look out for the perfect opportunity to buy next summer. Maybe get an option on him just to be sure in case he performs above expectations.

I’ve seen a long list of ManUs targets and not one of them would sign for us. Different level altogether.Commy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 9:11 amNixon's reply to a Sheff Utd supporter re left backs was that there seemed to be a shortage. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Transfer activity amongst PL clubs is starting to get frenzied. One guy who might be moving and who could be very useful to us as a CDM would be Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester. Nearly 200 PL games, strong tackler and athletic. Can play CH too, which shows he is good defensively and still only 26

21m for Tresor......

Did you get that from this account

He’s one of those fake journo accounts if so.
HLN (Belgium’s biggest media outlet) suggested it’s between €18-20m inc bonuses.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
The Belgium report that I saw said just below 25m euros, so the £21m sounded right... we'll never know, so it doesn't really matter if we're a couple of mil out either wayRVclaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 10:27 amDid you get that from this account

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
From The Bee Hole End pod this morning reporting Matt Williams (transfers guy at the club) stated we are hopeful of 3-4 players incoming this week. Looking like Tresor will be one. They also indicated Maatsen may sign a long-term deal with Chelsea before being loaned out.
With Tresor and a LB (maybe Maatsen) presumably taking 2 of those 3-4 incoming slots, that leaves 1 or 2 others potentially incoming. I've lost track of who we've been linked with this summer. Who else do we see coming in?

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
A striker. And then hopefully another central midfielder.
Assuming the quality is high but a left back, right winger, striker and centre midfielder and we’d feel about balanced.
Assume 2 of those will be Prem loans.

Hoping I’m right here but potentials?
Strikers/wingers
Bakayoko
Origi
Tresor
Left backs
Maatsen
Centre mids
Vranckx
Lokonga
Phillips?
As stated above, you’d assume we would opt for our 2 prem loans which is why I’ve thrown Phillips into the mix. He is exactly what we need

I just can't see us getting Bakayoko with the clubs being linked: Liverpool, Palace, Brentford.
I don't know how credible the links are but they will all be able to offer far bigger wages.

Tresor
CM (one that can play in a pivot)
LB
If greedy a striker (but would probably mean Jay Rod can’t be registered).

I agree with this. He is linked however, and we can live in hope. With the reported fee for Tresor around 20-25m, you’d think it would take bakayoko off the table.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 10:46 amI just can't see us getting Bakayoko with the clubs being linked: Liverpool, Palace, Brentford.

The reported fee for Tresor is £15m and that isn’t until next summer, suggestion so far is a loan with obligation to buy.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 10:47 amI agree with this. Origi
Tresor
Maatsen (loan)
Phillips (loan)
would be outstanding business, and dare I suggest not totally unrealistic.
I can't see us spending big on both Tresor and Bakayoko, but nothing would surprise me after the summer we've had.
