Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Portuguese Benfica / Burnley supporting mate on Tomas Araujo.
He is MEGA
Very comfortable in vertical passing, long pass, short pass, 1st touch, marking, antecipating
Real deal
Needs to be tighter and more agressive. Needs better jumping also.
Worth 20M easily

The internet says he’s just shy of 6ft 2. Not normally classed as short.

Man Utd seriously considering signing Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham. Cucurella still in play but complicated by Chelsea appearance last night.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to his gripes, he is unhappy with pretty much every signing this summerRicardoMontalban wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 2:30 pmThe internet says he’s just shy of 6ft 2. Not normally classed as short.

I was the only one here that said there was zero chance of us signing Trésor from the very start of the rumours...
I was the only one here who also said that there was absolutely no chance we would sign Gyokeres from the very first mention...
I was the only one here who said that we had wasted our money and it would be reflected in results and was told it would not age well... I am still waiting!

I can’t comment on the rest but you weren’t the only person saying Brownhill was a good player and important to us, I was also saying it and many others were as well, the minority Newcastle etc were saying the opposite.

Ansu Fati to Brighton on loan is an interesting one
They’re covering 80% of his wage meaning they’ll be paying out £180k a week
I fully expect their current squad will be chatting to their agents about seeking big pay rises in the near future
Fair play to Brighton though if they get this deal done and he shows what he can do here, he’s very talented

Can't we borrow Dier for half a season? Spurs would still have time to make a deal with him and we could also see how he works in our team?

I’ve said it before & I will say it again, some on here are like a dog on a beach chasing a crisp packet in the wind. What can any Burnley fan have to moan about, the best bestest time in its modern history, a squad with depth, manager & board with a short & long term business plan, with a clear model with succession planning being a big part of it.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I genuinely believe we won't.
I don't think Daka and Tresor want come here.
Spurs won't let Dier come here on loan.
Massango is an old rumour reposted.
Chelsea will keep hold of Maatsen and play him as a wing back from the bench.
Not sure about Paintsil but not hopeful if he's Tresors team mate.

Even if it’s for a season Daka surely would jump at prem football on loan, still option to go back to Leicester next season

Spurs want a sale
Dier wants a loan
Guessing this could maybe have something to do with a loyalty bonus if he sees out his full contract
Not that it matters to us as the local Dingles think he is pants

Just because he's been good enough to play for Spurs and England for the last 10 years, doesn't mean he's fit to be on our bench. Obviously.

just for experience would anyone take Bailly on loan for the season ? experienced and quick and in last year at United before he walks away on a free.

Walks in the broadest sense of the word, cracking player but always injured, and I can’t see VK wanting to sign someone from his fiercest rival.kenyon6923 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 4:15 pmjust for experience would anyone take Bailly on loan for the season ? experienced and quick and in last year at United before he walks away on a free.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Apparently, Spurs are still trying to sign Johnson from Forest and already have 3 players too many for their 25 man squad. If they want Dier to leave he might not get in the squad so surely he is best playing somewhere.

I'm not local and not a dingle but don't want a cba player near my team.As we've seen this week with Southgates selection playing for England is not a particularly good indicator of talent. You just have to play for a media darling team and you are in for life.

Man United have agreed a loan deal for Regulon from Spurs, ending interest in Cucurella from Chelsea. Could this now free up Maatsen on loan to us? A few others interested too apparently.

Looks as if it’s going to be a hectic day tomorrow, it’s complete madness really in the football world but looks as if we will be heavily involved tomorrow . Would have been nice to get one tonight but very quiet .
