Only option left is for Poch to tell him he's not part of his plans, but then if Chilwell is injured it means Cucurella is the other option, and Poch would be mad to put all his eggs in the Cucurella basket, so keeping Maatsen in the fold makes sense. Shunning him out would just be done out of spite. That's not good business, and would make him less inclined to sign an extension, which is their preference.
