Yes VK will surely be disappointed by tonight but he’s been in a better position than anyone to sort this, so he’ll have to adapt accordingly.
Disappointed?
Why, he's brought in 10 (or more) players.

Have Forest sold anyone or have they added another load to the load they signed last season?
Johnson to Spurs

Tresor would be great but I’m really happy with our alternatives there.
Left back is another matter, that’s the big hole we’d be worried about in every fixture we play. For that reason I’d start Taylor there if we can’t structure a deal to persuade Maatsen to come, at least we know what we will get from him and he is solid.

Bold statement and would be sad if he goes home and holds his head in his hands because we haven’t signed a Left Back. It just won’t happen , best we keep our emotions in check
Haha I haven’t said that at all though have I?
I said I think he will feel deflated with not getting one

Someone said it's "humiliating" that Lakonga went to Luton over us, so maybe there's a teensy bit of bedwetting going on, IDK.
I think it’s a case of single young men with nothing else to do but panic on here.
I sat next to one at Forest

This board really is a primary school yard where sensible, reasoned discussion goes to die and be replaced by name-calling.
Transfer windows really do bring out the worst on both sides.

Maatsen maybe concerned about the non stop abuse Berge has had to endure and how only one brave warrior was prepared to stand up for him.

Surprised given our case of need we don’t simply get Maatsen on another loan if he has signed a new deal, he gets his long Chelsea contract and Chelsea get a year’s development.

Even with the number of signings fans can still voice they are disappointed with not signing someone in a position that’s clear to see, I like Taylor and would play Taylor but it’s clear kompany doesn’t rate him there so a LB was needed.
We do still have free agent market

Absolutely unbelievable that we would put all our eggs into one basket. Whatever the other successes in this transfer window , to lose a player from last season in this position and not replace them , as I say is absolutely unbelievable.

Replacing the starting players we've lost in this window was the bare minimum.
We've replaced THB and replaced Tella but not replacing Maatsen will cost us. A major cock-up if no-one is brought in for left-back.
Couldn't care less about another winger or not.

I don’t think money spent determines how good our business has been this summer. I remember most on here were mocking Forest for the number of players and big money they spent last summer. Time will tell how well we’ve recruited but it’s clear that we’ve missed a trick at left back and in my opinion at right back too - although seemingly that never seemed a priority for VK.

Maybe Maatsen signs a new contract but joins us on loan for the season.
I have know idea and I’m not stressing. We all know we are defensively short / weak and short of striker options considering Jays injury record over recent years, but what will be will be.

i find it implausible that clubs would agree a fee, a player then fly over, said player then has his medical and we forgot to tell him how much he would be paid. Pretty sure that would be the first conversation or at very worst the one after the fee was agreed.
