Rossendale Clarets - Bev & Steve.

Post by RammyClaret61 » Sat May 06, 2023 7:28 am

Rossy Clarets had their end of season party last night at Bacup CC. Also doubling up as a thank you to Steve & Bev, who after 30 years of running coaches to away games, are now stepping down, with daughter Chloe taking over the reins.
It was a right royal Claret send off. With a load of the 1970’s Burnley team in attendance. Brian Flynn, Colin Waldron, Billy Rodaway, Mick Docherty, Frank Casper, Paul Fletcher, Jim Thomson, Dave Thomas & Stan Ternent.
(Sorry if I missed any)

Massive thank you to the ex-players. Certainly had me starstruck :D

To Steve & Bev, massive thank you from me for all your efforts over 30 seasons. UP THE CLARETS.

Two of the most committed Clarets you're likely to meet. Helped many people, including myself, follow this great club up and down the country. Always grateful that they helped us out for the Play Off game at Reading 😊

Was nice to chat with Steve last Saturday in Bristol about another fantastic season.

The supporters club is in good hands with Chloe.

Don’t know them but obviously have heard of them on this board. Well done to them, such brilliant commitment. Hope everyone had a great evening. Now have a much deserved rest Bev & Steve.

I used to travel with Rossy Clarets in my younger days with my dad. Although we stopped around 1999ish, whenever I crossed paths - whether it be at the Turf or an away ground or in the valley, they would always stop and chat.

Two genuinely lovely people.

I have travelled with them a good few times years ago and also attended previous end of season events .
Their running of Rossy Clarets was without fault in every way , their attention to detail and dedication was unsurpassed .
Thanks Bev and Steve

I've known Bev & Steve for more years than any of the three of us would probably care to mention. They've worked their socks off for years to help get supporters to away games.

I know Chloe was originally trying to organise this end of season farewell at the Turf but sadly they don't seem to want supporter events there any longer. I just hope they didn't all get frostbite up there at Bacup, it's a bloody cold place.

Now get your feet up and let daughter Chloe run the show. See you both soon.

Well done to Bev and Steve for the last 30 years. I attended the first meeting nearly 30 years ago at the Rose n' Bowl, I think it was. Despite a few doubters I was fully behind their venture and travelled to their first game away at the end of October 93' with them. A 0-1 victory for us set them on their way. Think my last journey with them was at the end of that season down to Plymouth for the play off semi. Always well organised outings and Bev and Steve were always very courteous and kind. Thankyou to both of you.
Meant to add first game was at Cambridge.

Travelled with them many times with my dad and brother when I was a kid. They were so good we used to travel over to Rossendale to catch their coach, even though nearly options were available.

Have very happy memories of the away trips with Rossi clarets
