Hi Pete, you know "exciting times" can be used as many times as you'd like. 500 times, 500,000 times or even 500 million times.

Exciting times.
I know you are excited Paul. In fact, you are so excited you sound like one of the Pointer Sisters.

Fantastic news ahead of today's game and hopefully he is backed in the transfer window to build a team strong enough to compete. UTC 👍

Unbelievable and wonderful news.
I hope he sees it out, but at least if he does move on we will get some compensation.
The gut instinct says he is very happy here. He is excited as the fans to see how he fairs in the Prem, and what new investment can provide him in the market.

The retained list is going to be as interesting as the new arrivals.

News doesn't get better than this!
Amazing, fantastic, wonderful etc etc.
Not been at my best health wise recently but this has really cheered me up…better than any medicine!
I’m sure that there’ll be some surprising and exciting signings over the next few months.
A new era awaits.

Apart from the obvious good news that VK is staying there are a few things that must surely be true for him to sign a new deal

1. Any embargo has been lifted and it is all systems go for next season

2. Significant funds plus a transfer strategy is in place to strengthen in the summer

3. The journalists predicting that he would be desperate to go to a variety of "much bigger and better clubs than Burnley" hadn't got a clue what they were talking about

Kompany...What a man! .What a commitment! .Marvellous news!!! Absolutely Ecstatic...brought a very very proud tear to my eye.
Kompany..Bellamy Jackson and staff now have a 5 year plan which will hopefully progress us to a consistent top 10 finish with the odd European adventure.

Big Thankyou to Alan Pace and the Board.
Burnley FC feels like a big proper family again!

Was very busy yesterday and only just seen this this morning. Just browsing the BBC sport app for anything Burnley related and actually did a full blown double take on the headline. Someone posted about ‘500 good news’ posts but what do they expect. It’s not just good news, it’s the best. Couldn’t be more excited if we’d signed Messi (well, maybe I could but let’s keep it real).
How good is this man Pace? He’s obviously ‘sold’ the dream to VK and that can be nothing but good news. Embargo gone. Investment in players probably. Stability all round. And the new investors too. Are any fans in the country as happy and content as us just now? I very much doubt it.

Comments from Vinny on why he signed the contract

https://www.burnleyexpress.net/sport/fo ... or-4134502

As others have alluded to on here, a major part of it is for recruitment - he said he’s seen the effects already - interesting.

Interesting - I wonder which player(s) he was alluding to.

Thanks for posting RV, really interesting that it’s a decision he’s taken to put an end to the speculation and aid recruitment. Very selfless of him in many respects.

I’d perhaps say that “the effects” are the loan signings committing to joining?
