100%, been watching the players live streams of it, times like this season and today I really really miss being home. I was there 36 years ago in the junior clarets section in the Cricket Field stand, truly amazing how far we've comeRoyboyclaret wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 8:02 pmSeriously,Vegas.....you'd much prefer to be under the culvert......very special.

Perhaps you were involved with the Junior Clarets when my son Irvine was manager of that team ?Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 8:11 pm100%, been watching the players live streams of it, times like this season and today I really really miss being home. Football of very, very high quality. That was some hit near the end by Real's French substitute ! Should be a great game next week.

Re: Real Madrid v City
Fabulous game of football from two special teams. I thought the ref did well in a fast, feisty affair. City will fancy their chances next week, but anything could happen.

Absolutely disgusting tactics from Madrid. Asking for yellow cards, waving imaginary cards in the air. I really can’t stand to watch Modric, as good as he is, resort to this s*^thousery.
How the left back stays on after a blatant dive is beyond me.

Don't think you can get a red for a dive or would it have been a second yellow? Haven't seen the game.

Re: Real Madrid v City
Shame that the most successful club in the history of the game in Europe need to resort to the nonsense tactics like they did tonight. For example, the bloke that went down like he’d been shot after he had poleaxed Grealish into the barriers who was understandably not wanting the bloke to help him up. They clearly know that City are the better team and need the dark arts to even it up.
Interesting because I think we gave City a better game in the first 30 mins of our cup tie. Not so much in the last 60 but definitely gives us hope.

Re: Real Madrid v City
I remember one referee booking someone for it, last season I think. If they all started booking them it would put a stop to it.
