Padiham, it's a different country. Genetically not very diverse, anthropologists from all over the world gather to capture the archaic rituals and mindless violence.

Born in York, dad was in RAF. Moved back to family home when 5. First season the great promotion at PNE. Sunday lunch with dad and grandad was always tales of the turf.
Moved to whittle le woods 1988, met a girl!!
Still went on with dad but now with daughter, i am so lucky to enjoy the clarets with her. Weve always had good times really.
Dad and me spent years driving to games and not speaking in the way home after what we considered were humilating defeats.
Daughter lives in newton le willows, we are season ticket holders.
Love em.

Born in Bury, still live in Bury. Was taken to my first game aged 5 in 1977. My parents moved from Southport to Bury in the 60s and I believe my dad started following the Clarets as they were the top local side and the next door neighbour was an avid Claret.

Interesting HBC…..I was born (dare I say it) feb 62 at Burnley Bank Hall……..you refer to Burnley General in 62 ……..were they different hospitals ? As an aside, my sister in law was actually born one day after me in the same hospital tho I don’t recognise her from that day…….
Re: Where are Clarets fans from outside of Burnley?
Born in Littleborough but have lived in Whitworth for 46 years (but will never be from there)!! My Dad chose Burnley over Man Utd in 1961 and I've never looked back. Our son and his family live in Guildford now but he and our Grandson get to as many games as they can. Grandson flirted with Chelsea for a bit but has seen the light!

Clitheroe which was once full of cocky, arrogant Rovers fans but for the last ten years or so has been a very pleasant place to live in. Thank you Sean Dyche. PS. It looks like Vinny is keeping up the good work.

Re: Where are Clarets fans from outside of Burnley?
Born in Burnley, I had a season ticket for over 20 years. I emigrated to Australia in August 2008, my last game was the 3-0 defeat to Ipswich. I left thinking it was going to be a long long season, I was gutted I missed it all. I did make it back for the play off final though, but to this day I haven't seen us play a game in the Premier league.
I was back last month and saw us win promotion in the fanzone then my first game on the Turf for nearly 15 years when we beat Sheffield Utd. Watching a game at 2am just doesn't feel right though and the celebrations are always muted of course.

I’m a Clarets jinx. Living away were great years, moved back and it was all downhill until Stan & Barry Kilby fixed the club, moved away and it’s all been great again.

I like this kind of thread but not sure how this will go down so here goes…
Born in west London, family all Chelsea fans. Moved up to Saltaire in 2003. Had a season ticket at Chelsea for 17 years, until 2016. Two sons, born 2011 and 2015. They were never going to support Leeds. Bradford City just haven’t ‘got it’, so took eldest to The Turf when he was 7. Never looked back. My wife and I came to the Burnley Chelsea game in 2014 (away end) and genuinely loved the feel of the place. Proper ground, no bother, great town. No hesitation in bringing my boys to games and it’s turned into a great family thing. Never thought you could love two clubs, but it turns out you can (or at least I can!). Also turns out my family history only goes back to London until the 1930s and before that it’s Nantwich/Chorley but there’s more than a few relatives in Burnley it seems. Strange world.

Re: Where are Clarets fans from outside of Burnley?
Born in a maternity unit in Colne, lived and educated in Burnley (Coal Clough infant and junior then BGS), Leeds (Leeds Uni) and Northern Ireland (New University of Ulster and then the University of Ulster). Been a migrant worker in Singapore for the past 12 years, and before that Ireland (12 years), Singapore (again - 3.5 years) and Hull (7 years). I would have liked to have continued living in my home town of Burnley, after I graduated from Leeds Uni in 1982 - but there were no jobs at the time. Thanks for that, Maggie and Co!

Re: Where are Clarets fans from outside of Burnley?
Born in 67 Heywood, lived and grew up there. No connection with Burnley until a weird set of circumstances meant that I moved to Burnley in the late 80's. Bored one afternoon I decided to take in a game...just happened to watch us beat someone 5-0...could have been York I think...thought it was brilliant and never looked back...now live in rossendale and go on most home games with my Burnley shirt...just in case vinny looks to the heavens and shouts...if only I had an overweight middle-aged bloke I could bring on for the last five minutes...don't worry vinny...I'm on my way...just give me a second.
