Born in Penzance 1956. Been a Burnley fan all my life. Still live in Penzance and manage to get up to Burnley for the odd game each season. May have trouble getting tickets now but up The Clarets. Great things to come.

From Cliviger but moved to a small village called Sanderstead in 2000. It's right on the Surrey/Croydon border, but it's easier to call myself Croydon Claret as nobody has heard of Sanderstead 😉

Only lived in Burnley for about six years and left when I was eleven (1974)but by then well and trully bitten. Move to Churchtown(Nr Garstang) and grew up there. Since leaving home I/we have live in Lancaster - Devon - Lancaster - Fleetwood but for the last 20 years have lived up here in S.W. Scotland (Dumfries area) and love it.

Don't get down to games as often as I would like, maybe once or twice a season due to mainly working on Saturday/Sunday (and every other bloody day - run our own pudding business) but still as fanatical as I ever was.

Born in Wiltshire, lived there all my childhood and moved to Bristol and having lived there for 10 years, recently moved to Burnley in december 2022 when my office moved up to Blackpool.

Support the Clarets due to my mother being born in here. Unfortunately my parents don't really follow football more than cheering on the clarets from the sofa but get to games on my own now and again. It's surprising how many Clarets live in the south west though.

Born in Accrington, grew up in Padiham. Moved to London in '72 for work and stayed. Lived mostly in SW London, Surrey and now for the last 20 years in Hampshire. Son was born in Surrey but as I have clearly brought him up right he is a committed Burnley fan.

Oh and for Croydon Claret I have heard of Sanderstead as I have some close friends who I regularly visit who live in Coulsdon.

Born in Derbyshire, my Dad was from Burnley, spent most of my childhood in Plymouth. Became a teacher and moved to Essex, Norfolk, Cheshire and then, as a headteacher, to Devon. Now happily retired here.

That's at least 4 of you in Heaton Moor then, my nephew and his boys live there.
I'm Chorlton in South Manchester, originally from Accrington.
My uncle took my brother on, my brother took me on, I took my nephew and my 2 kids on.
My nephew and I have raised 4 burnley fans in the shadows of Old Trafford and the Etihad. Well done our kids, it can't have been easy.
However, I think it's proof that it's passed from parent to child.

Now live in Bacup - to be closer to Turf Moor and cut down on travelling time to home games.

Born and raised in Deal, Kent. Have spent the majority of my adult life in Norfolk but my family are still in Deal. Support Burnley because my Dad does. He was also born in Deal but loved the Clarets as a boy and was at the 62 cup final. Took me to my first Burnley game for the Sherpa Van Trophy final and we’ve been going together ever since.

Born at Cawder Ghyll, Skipton although we lived in Sutton-in-Craven, have since moved the many miles firstly to Crosshills and now Glusburn.

Taken to my first game in 1967 by my uncle and his friend Dieter (An ex POW who farmed in Skipton), sadly both are no longer with us but I still have a copy of Deiter's book "From East Prussia to North Yorkshire: German Ex-prisoner of War 81G505975".

Still spend many weekends travelling the country watching 99% of our games - Thought winning the League at PNE in 1972/73 was a great season but this season just pips it for me.

Born in Ramsbottom 1961. Bet you couldn’t guess?
Not from a big football supporting family. Dad watched Portsmouth during, and just after the war. My grandad followed Bury. My first recognition of football was the 66 World Cup final. Didn’t support a team. Relatives who lived in Stockport were big Man U fans and would badger me every opportunity they got to try and get me to support Utd. My first ever match was a Xmas present from them. Tickets to Man U 0-0 wolves Boxing Day 69. But I was never ever going to be a Utd fan. But I was hooked on football after that match. Loved the crowd. My next 2 games were at Gigg Lane. Bury 8-0 Tranmere, and v Mansfield.
Then on 17th September 1970. I was taken by a friend of the family to Turf Moor. Burnley 1-2 Arsenal. I can still see the images in my mind. Parking across from Tod road school. Walking down the cobbled ginnal at the side, then down Higgin st until the massive floodlights came into view, the claret & blue scarfs, standing at the front of the Bee Hole, the claret shirts, the massive Longside.
I was hooked from day one. 44 years a season ticket holder. Then I moved to Australia, and now run Melbourne Clarets.

Born and mostly raised in W Sussex. My dad (also from Sussex) started supporting the Clarets as a youngster in the 50s as EVERYONE was a Spurs fan down here. Took me to a game in 1995 at Portsmouth and the rest is history. Plenty of Clarets down here.

Born in Wisbech (Cambs), raised in Colne / Laneshawbridge. Moved to the States in 1982 (Wisconsin - JJ Watt is a solid dude). Been in California since '85.

First game - them down the road away '63 1-2 (Connelly (2)).
Hi,
I was surprised to see you were born in Wisbech. I now live in Leverington, just outside Wisbech. I was born in Bank Hall Burnley in 1943 and have supported the Clarets all my life. I lived in France for a number of years after retirement - hence the name.

Born (1950) & raised in Burnley (Healy Wood), first trip to TM 1956, a regular by the early 60s and to early-mid 70s.

As an adult I've lived in various places around England & Wales. I've been a neutral spectator at a few clubs where I've lived but only ever passionate about BFC. Got to TM a fair few times a season throughout until my dad died and watch any away games close to where I've been living (if I can get tickets).
Lived for the past 25 years in Basingstoke, north Hampshire. Hopefully get a ticket or two for games in south/south-east/London next season.

Lots of interesting journeys back across Ireland on Monday night on the delayed Ryanair flight - which landed back in Dublin after 2am

A lad who was born in Burnley but grew up and lived in Galway, got a train at 3am to Dublin, and then missed their bus back home, having to wait for one that got them back at 6:15
A lad who had to get from Dublin to Tyrone
A young lad who had stayed off the drink cos he had a hurling final.... only to find the flight delayed to the early morning
An older chap who had a ritual of smoking a massive cigar on the last day of the season.

Reckon there were others who were a bit braver in their flight bookings, and got the 9:20pm flight, and were tucked up home in bed well before our flight took off.

Dad came home from work one day with tickets to my first Burnley game, said it was important we went.

We beat Orient and so it all began for me…

Born in Warwickshire, started supporting Burnley at the age of 11, some 61 years ago.Had no one to take me to games but at the age of 17 saw my first game at Villa Park, last but one game of the season when we relegated them.I got two paper rounds which gave me enough money to travel to all games in the Midlands to see them. Went to London to Uni and remained there until around 1990 seeing them in the capital, but then moved to Leics in 1990 and under Stan Ternent started going to more games.Today I see several home games a year and about 6 or 7 away games.

Cic - I'd suspect that you would know my Uncle too then I know he helped Addyman's during haymaking and would guess he'd help Dieter too.

Norman Thompson, he lived up Regents Drive with my Auntie Yvonne and son Angus, who incidentally arrives to stay at at mine on Tuesday - all the way from Tasmania.

Burnley born, grew up in and around Pendle. Now live in Hong Kong, spreading the Claret cheer.

Proud to say I've recruited many a new Claret while on the road. I have to say though, as with our transfers, recruitment is easier when we've been doing well.

Burnley born and Padiham/Burnley educated, but if pushed I'm a proud Padiham Thickneck. Now living in Orpington, Kent, where I've been for the last 23 years. It's mainly Palace and Millwall territory round here and it's great fun winding them up about their empty trophy cabinets.

Moved to Rossendale Road, Burnley, as a babe in arms from Hull in 1957. My dad took me to see my first game - I was about five. Left Burnley aged six but I've never lost my love for the club. Now living in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales - still manage to get to the Turf and a few away games. UTC.

Burnley born, grew up in and around Pendle. Now live in Hong Kong, spreading the Claret cheer.

Proud to say I've recruited many a new Claret while on the road. I have to say though, as with our transfers, recruitment is easier when we've been doing well.
Lived in Hong Kong a couple of years ago, loved it. Didn't meet any other Clarets but got to a couple of Kitchee and Eastern games. (Also from Pendle!)

Born in Essex, lived in Essex and now Norfolk. No connection with Burnley but supported them ever since 1959 due to something I heard on the radio and I try to get to the Turf as often as I can. I have met lots of supporters in lots of places who were not born there, ever lived there or had any direct connection in any way. Lots of older people support them as a counter to the glory hunters who supported Spurs during the 60's. There is a massive student following in Uni's all over the country. I have met supporters in the USA (that was a shock) who were English but also Americans. I even met a whole bunch of supporters (several dozen) who lived either in or near Burnley on board a cruise ship once. King Charles is an alleged supporter as are a number of various celeb's etc.

Born in Bank Hall hospital late 50s, first went on the turf aged 4 and with all the games I have attended home and away thought of myself as a decent burnley fan, until I read this thread, in league terms I am non league, fair play to you all.
Also thanks to Sean and Vincent for their help to keep this club growing, I once went to Southampton and was concerned that I was one of the youngest of our fans there and at the time I was getting on a bit.
The kids are back in numbers now just like it was when I was a lad.
