Burnley born n bred, now live in Preston, amongst the Nobbers, many of whom have been very complimentary this last 10 months. Still a season ticket holder, and get to a few away games too. UTC

Soclaret, are you the guy I met in kowloon a few years ago. We had a few beers and I gave you some Burnley memorabilia?
Yes mate, legend! That was a great night.

You'll be please to know that one of the flags ended up hanging on a wall in the Education Bureau and the other is flying proudly atop a house in Arizon, USA. A teacher I knew became a big fan and has taken it upon himself to recruit more US clarets.

Hope you're well mate. Thanks again

Lived in Hong Kong a couple of years ago, loved it. Didn't meet any other Clarets but got to a couple of Kitchee and Eastern games. (Also from Pendle!)
There are a few of us here. Great place, despite what it looks like in the media nowadays.

I got indoctrinated by a fan of HK Pegasus, and so kitchee are our rivals. Not quote as intense as the Lanclassico like ;)

That view has been spouted too many times, over the years, and I don’t believe they were all fishing. Definitely “our town, our team” from the few, sadly.

Born in accy… Dad alternated between going to Ewood one week and the Turf the next… thankfully he took me to the Turf for my first game and I was hooked.

Moved south when I was 21 and lived in Basingstoke and Newbury but have recently moved to Southbourne just outside Bournemouth… still got our STs

Born in Chesterfield in 1955. Moved to the nearby village of Newton. The first FA Cup Final I watched on tv with my dad was in 1962. He was normally playing cricket on cup final day. I became a fan and went to away games at the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Utd and Forest. Then in 1968 our neighbours lad was transferred from Grimsby to Burnley and I was so fortunate to go with his dad to many games both home and away.

Burnley born at Bank Hall in January 1955, and brought up in Nelson. schooled at Marsden County Primary and Edge End but having become a teacher at Edge Hill Ormskirk, taught in Parbold and then Chorley - hence my sign in. Tried to persuade David Unsworth as a pupil in my class, to sign for the Clarets but Everton had already got their claws on him (He did eventually turn up at the Turf but years later.)
Three family members with season tickets including me. Great season for my eldest grandson to get his first season ticket in the CFS!!!

No guessing - from Rochdale. Watched the Clarets since 1972 after some early games at Spotland my dad decided to take me to a “bigger ground” and once on the Turf that was it. Been a fun ride watching us in all divisions and a couple of Wembley trips.

Born in Bank Hall 1947, my mum and dad took me on my first match in 1951 when I was 4 years old. I started going on regularly with my pals, aged ten, in 1957. and got my first season ticket in 1960. Having owned an apartment for many years in Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol, my wife and I moved to Spain in 2013, where we bought a house In Torrequebrada, which is between Benalmadena and Fuengirola. I kept my season ticket until 2018, getting back for about 8 or 9 games a season. I haven't been back to Burnley now since pre-covid, though I watch all our games over here with the Benalmadena Clarets: I've met a few fellow utc-board members over here, the latest being zoznicclaret (spelling?) from Prague only last week.

Born and bred in Belgium. I have been following Burnley because of a football manager game. I think it was called Graham Taylor soccer manager or something like that on the Amiga 500. Basically you had to pick up a team in the old 3rd division. I didn't know any of the teams. The only thing I could see was the kits. I thought that the claret and blue was great so I picked Burnley every time I was playing. Then I followed the club's results in the reality. Mind you it was on the ceefax as there was no internet at the time.
I have never regretted my choice !

Skipton Brighton Skipton New York City Philadelphia. After England won the World Cup, I wanted my dad to take me to football. He was Irish, arrived in Skipton in the mid 50’s, loved Jimmy Mac, so became a Burnley fan. Naturally took me and my brother to the Turf. Clarets ever since.

That’s me. It’s between Junc 19 and 18, (between Knutsford and Holmes Chapel) M6 Southbound about 2 miles south of Knutsford Services. Flying on a flag pole next to my Union Jack. Blink and you’ll miss it.
However, it’s a busy part of the M6, everyday there’s standing traffic….I’d hope it’s made a few Rovers fans even more miserable as they sit in their car stuck in a jamb!
I’ve lived here since 2018, Rossendale and Great Harwood before that.

Born in Sussex, never been to Burnley but followed them since I was a young teenager and have seen over the years at various grounds. First game was a 0-0 at Barnet in 1992.

My dad is a big fan and still goes to games, though he was also born in Sussex (also supported the Clarets ever since he was s kid).

Lived in Burnley all my life (70 years) but in
the process of moving behind enemy lines
to Darwen.

It has been fun, I can't lie.

Sunderland born and bred. Joined Clarets Mad about 2004 as Sunderland Neil but everyone thought I was a Sunderland fan when I posted, which was probably fair enough. Been attending games (sporadically) since 1992.

Mancunian born and bred. No interest in the local teams growing up but married a girl from Rawtenstall, her father is a huge Claret (in his 70's now, been following since he was a nipper) - went to a few matches with him and got bitten with the bug!

Born in Church, Accrington - to commemorate, we won the League! Moved to Clayton around '69, started going regularly to games in '72 whilst at Accy Grammar for O-levels, college up Sandy Lane for A's; went on to Sheffield Poly, then exiled to Exeter for work.

Lived in Exminster for 20-odd yrs, then Ottery St Mary for 12, during which time travelled all over with SouthWest Clarets (hi, Sherborne Phil & Carnsmerry12 to name a couple I've picked out on this thread!). Now in Somerset, between Yeovil & Glastonbury - love it!

Health issues meant first game since covid started was at Bristol - great to meet up with a few old faces, not to mention one of my bros & his lad (all our family are claret mad, despite being dispersed around the country - & USA!).

Hopefully, I can start getting to more games again. I owe a big thanks to Scud, Marty & Sherborne Phil for starting up SouthWest Clarets, without which I wouldn't have enjoyed the highs and lows of the past 30-odd years!
