Up The Clarets corporate box
Up The Clarets corporate box
What are the possibilities of a joint match day experience, table, box etc .
or are they all taken .?

Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
Can you imagine the fist fight in that box after maybe 15 minutes ?

Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
This is actually an interesting idea.
Just worked it out - if they’re £50k per season, 19 games and 12 seats for each, there’s 228 places @ £219.
Wonder how many UTC crew would be up for paying that for a box experience once/multiple times a year? I would.
CT would run the ballot to decide who gets each game

We should be able to draw lots as to who attend with who.
It would be magnificent to put Lancaster/Spiral in with Ringo!

That is a fun idea. I also wonder if you would get interest from international Clarets if they could be promised a seat that fits in with their travels. I’ve thought about a trip myself, after my youngest is out of college, but wondered how I’d get tickets since I’ve on here about “points” and don’t have any. Hand raised I’ve never researched it, maybe it is easy to get tickets but since I’ve got 2 years at least until I’m done paying for her college, there has been no reason to look into it.
I also wonder about the potential of fist fights, but hold on to hope that everyone would just enjoy the time cheering on the club and laughing at things said on this board.

Not one of them would say a word out of place, guaranteed! To be honest if Spiral talks like he writes no one would get a word in anyway..Guller Bull wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 6:26 pmWe should be able to draw lots as to who attend with who.

Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
About 1% of this board would pay 200 quid for a game

I think you’ll be fine for tickets Elbarad, providing you plan in advance, it’s only away games where tickets become relevant.Elbarad wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 6:37 pmThat is a fun idea. I think it would be better if our usernames remained private at first and all the guests guessed who each other was before the big reveal after the match

You don’t need any points for home tickets Elbrad m, just for away gamesElbarad wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 6:37 pmThat is a fun idea. If you know way in advance when you are coming then getting a ticket shouldn’t be a problem

I won’t be moderating. I’d hate watching a match from a box to be honest, prefer my own seat.

Entry fee for the Food Count, the winner gets automatic entry to the next Corporate Box with a poster of his choice.....yeah I like it.

Genuinely never been in a box at Burnley so as a one off (as long as we could make it) would probably do it.

Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
That is a mental amount, wow. I’ve only been in a box at the Turf once (company my Dad works for in Tod, Weir’s, they had a box and sort of raffled them off each game or something) and thankfully it was Blackburn at home when Andre Gray scored the winner. Nice experience but - and I know they’ve had work done since then - £50k for the season seems insane to me.
Do we sell them out?

Think there’s only four in the longside and one goes to players family so maybe really three? Sold out to my knowledge.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 7:17 pmThat is a mental amount, wow. Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
How does £50,000 + Vat for an executive box for 12, including VIP parking, 4 courses and a limited free bar compare to other Premier League/Championship Clubs ? I suspect it's on the lower end ... It can be very effective in Business terms
I had a retired customer in Southport whose Company had a thriving export market to the far east. He'd pick the buyers up from Manchester in a friend's Rolls-Royce, and book them into the ( then ) very good Royal Clifton hotel. He 'knew Bob Paisley well, so the next morning he'd take them to watch Liverpool train and meet some players, then visit the Cavern Club followed by a tour of the factory. The next morning they'd play 18 holes at Royal Birkdale, followed by lunch with the Club President/Captain etc ... " After all that, old son, they'd have signed a bus ticket if I'd asked them ! "

I think there are eight in total but definitely more than four. Not sure what they are doing with the Jimmy Mac hospitality area but changes afoot there.
Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
It’s not pay as you go where does the £50k plus VAT come from .
Daft idea there are the funds to do this .

Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
I've seen my name mentioned on a few threads over the last few days, and I'm getting the sense that there are a fair number of people who would get some sort of satisfaction out of stabbing me. I think if they could do it without repercussion they would take the opportunity to, too, which says far more about them than it does me — me, whose only crime is writing long and admittedly somewhat abrasive posts on a footy forum (the abrasion is for rhetorical effect, you ninnies), and apparently that offends the hard of reading and those who get flustered and frustrated at the fact they can't counterargue in discussions they wilfully enter, and so some people take it out on me that they are themselves stupid, this impotent rage, this furrowed brow, the way they accidentally switch off their phone when they're typing away at me with such sound & fury because they lose their dexterity and squeeze down the power button too hard for too long — this they do because they are apes. Someone will probably even want to stab me for this post. But I'm basically a clown; I aspire to entertain. Mostly myself, it must be said, but others are welcome to laugh at the scene. I love you all, even if I think almost all of you are w@nkers. I can't believe any of you take any of this even remotely seriously. I don't want to sit in your $hitty box. It smells of cheap aftershave and halitosis, and I don't like your brown shoes, and your tucked in shirt with your belly hanging over your blue Wranglers, and your tedious talk of real ale, and your sunburnt neck, and your varifocal glasses, and your hairy hands, and the way you talk about the service staff (you're almost old enough to be her grandfather you perv), and the watch...the godforsaken watch — you aren't going scuba diving, it doesn't need to be waterproof to a depth of 150m, you're going paddling off a beach in fking Portugal, you're not circumnavigating the globe. No, pi$$ off, I wanna be with the coke heads in the CFS. I'm opting out.

Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
Don’t think they did any work in there last summer although I can’t recall having been in there at all.
I’ve only been in the Longside twice since it was done up. I was in the big room (the half of the stand towards the Jimmy Mac end) for Rocky’s funeral and more recently in a smaller room on the other side for Clive Holt’s book launch. All very corporate and clinical with no sign of anything Burnley FC. If you go down the corridor to the boxes you could be in a hospital, that’s how it looked to me.
Re: Up The Clarets corporate box
If I had to spend £50k including vat at the Turf I'd blow it all on a Twix.
