Coventry and Boro

Post by Leisure » Sun May 14, 2023 12:08 pm

Both clubs doing a Rovers and only allocating the required minimum tickets (2000) to each other.

Also not the same as offering every other league club a different deal.

Really hope Coventry go up. From a selfish pov very unlikely they'd stay up compared to boro or the other 2, Sunderlandfor sure. But they've done brilliantly to get where they are. Only caveat is I'd like a certain swedish striker to get a move here which might be less likely if they go up

Can't say I've pleasured myself thinking about him, but 21 goals is a decent return. 24 years old, holds it up well and links play. A lot of graft too. As much as I love barnes and Jay, he's a step up in quality imo. But each to their own

Luton would be the best team to go up from a ‘one relegation spot’ point of view.

Perhaps, certainly them or Coventry. I don't know why but I fancy Luton could have a one off amazing season up there though

I think whoever goes up in the play offs will be a lot weaker than us

Sheff United have a bloated squad and money issues as well

Course, the premier league is full of teams with really good players, but with some good additions you'd fancy us to avoid the bottom three

Iv yet to see it then. He’s a decent. Player and seems to be Jack of all
Trades but master of none type player. Iv yet to see anything from him to say he will
Be a success in the premier league.

I don’t think he’s a patch on a prime Jay Rod. He just seems too easy to mark out of the game. Boro defence look comfortable.

From what I’ve seen, McNally seems to playing well. Will be interesting to see what happens with him in the next couple of months.

McNally is doing very well. All Boros success has been through Doyle who seems a bit lax now and again.

If I was to take a player from Coventry then is would be Hamer.

The quality of these two teams is very poor considering the prize at stake. Incredibly average Championship fodder, the pair of them.

They want to get it into the big swede too early don't they? He's so isolated, and they just keep hitting it up to him from the back,

He looks a quality player but maybe a little bit too similar to Cullen?

Poorest game of the play-offs so far and no excuse for it.
McNally had a very good game, no Boro chances came down his channel and his passing was slick.

If I was to take a player from Coventry, it'd probably be McNally on that showing.

All I saw from McNally was a player who looked like he was told to mark a certain area and not do much more. This he did well but it was a limiting job. He offered little going forward or at attacking corners. He did his job well but there was nothing to show he would get in our team. He may have it in him but I never saw it today.

As strange as it may sound, even through McNally is better with the ball than some of our centre halves in recent years I don't think Kompany thinks he's good enough with the ball.

I hope he gets a chance though, as he is a man mountain of a player and height is something we severely lack most of the time.

I thought McNally did really well when he played over an hour at Bournemouth in the cup but then in came Ekdal & Al-Dakhil and he was shunted out to Coventry. I can see him moving on this summer.

he was superb at Bournemouth. I can see him going if we get a silly offer but I hope we send him on loan somewhere tbh, he's only 23 so still has loads of time to improve.
