So with 2 games to play (3 for Leicester until tonight) who do we think will go down along with Southampton?

Leeds have West Ham (a) Tottenham (h)
Everton have Wolves (a) Bournemouth (h)
Forest have Arsenal (h) Palace (a)

I can see it being the current bottom 3 going, struggling to see Leicester picking up any more than a point, similar with Leeds and I think Everton have 1 win from either of their 2 games that will see them safe. Sure there will be a twist or two and it should go down to a last day survival battle.

Course, if Leicester win tonight then it gets really interesting but I think they are the classic example of a team "too good to go down" realising far too late that that is not in fact the case

I think you are right but at this stage of the season there are often the odd freak results that you dont see coming. If Leeds can pick up a win that puts Forest at threat due to their goal difference......

Still would like it to be Leeds and Everton but I just can't see it

It is amazing what that 5-1 win for Everton has done

Its gives them a viable escape route which I just don't see Leicester or Leeds matching

Everton fans looking at those fixtures must fancy their chances as yes, all games are tough, but other teams have worse fixtures (on paper).

From our point of view I'd like Leicester to stay up as I think they'll struggle again next season.. Tielemans, Maddison and Barnes probably leaving and Vardy can't play 90 mins anymore.. I don't see them reinvesting heavily in the team

Difficult to call which two of Forest, Everton, Leeds, Leicester will join Southampton for the drop/

Forest are currently in the strongest points-in-the-bag position and best form over the past 5 or so matches but the hardest two fixtures.

I think Everton will survive and Forest scrape it; Leeds and Leicester to drop (but could change my mind by 22.00 tonight).

West Ham have the 2nd leg of their semi final before they play Leeds.

Depending on how that goes, they my have players trying to avoid injury etc.

Everton have control of their own destiny so they'll be eager to ensure they stay up, but one more win could be enough for them

Everton and Leeds could both win all of their games and still go down.
It would mean that both Forest and Leicester have also won all their games, so it's highly unlikely, but that would be my favourite outcome. Everyone wins, Everton and Leeds go down.

I’m going for Southampton, Leeds, Leicester.

Think Everton are safe now, possibly only need a point and pretty certain a win will be enough. They’ll do Bournemouth at home on the final day if nothing else.

If Leicester fail to win tonight and Everton or Leeds win at the weekend the foxes will go into the Newcastle match knowing that they're down if they don't win. That's a lot of pressure for an away game against a team battling for the top 4.

I reckon Forest will lose to Arsenal so they'll stay on 34 which means both Leeds and Everton could go above them with a win at the weekend.

I reckon Everton will be lucky to get a point at Wolves but with a win at home against Bournemouth they should be safe.

I'm going for Southampton, Leicester and probably Leeds unless somehow they manage back to back wins and send Forest down. Forest's goal difference could end up going against them.

DL could well beat Spuds in last match. I hope they get nothing from WHU but as mentioned above they could have their heads in Europe.

Dirty Leeds will beat West Ham and then scab a last game win which will keep them up on goal difference.Also Spuds will roll over like Brentford did last season and the ref will help them out by sending a Spuds player off or giving them a dodgy penalty.

Forest aren’t out of the woods. I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost their last two and sadly, I can see Leeds picking up at least one win (hope I’m wrong but I think Sam might do a job).

They’ve not picked up wins but there seems to be more fight and organisation in them since his arrival and West Ham / Spurs might not be the worse fixtures.

Logically we need Leeds down because we all hate them. Then Leicester down because they will be stronger next season than Everton.

Also we normally get points off Everton, and not Leeds or Leicester.

My preference would be to have Leicester staying up: Leeds and Everton may both improve next season, but Madison, Vardy (for what he's worth nowadays) will definitely be going this summer and Barnes too likely and I don't anticipate the owners making the investment to replace them; so if they can survive this season, they'll go down next.

I think you could make a case for all of them.

Leicester two home games and a win tonight lifts them out of the bottom three. The attacking quality they possess is great, but their defence is bobbins.

Everton have two winnable games with the last game a home banker.

Leeds have two winnable games, West Ham have one eye on Europe and Tottenham are weak away from home.

Forest have Arsenal who have gone and Palace who are on the beach.

West Ham could even be dragged into it with a freakish set of results.

Think it will be Leicester and Leeds though.

It was the best thing that could have happened to us. We thinned out an ageing squad, filled it with shrewd signings, changed the playing style and started ‘future proofing’ the club. Plus we got one of the best young managers in the game, and he has signed an extended contract. With Vinny at the helm, and Alan Pace sorting the finances, I think we are well set for a good future. I reckon Southampton, Everton, Leeds, and Leicester would rather be where we are than where they are. UTC.

Very true Benny, I completely agree, but the anguish of all the scenarios of us being relegated then that hopeless final match will always feel painful to me. But yes absolutely you have to hit the low to be able to bounce and boy did we fly!

Other than Forest, who's owner seems to have money to burn, all the other clubs involved are in debt up to their eyeballs. They have players that are worth good money but that will probably go to pay off their debts. Will they make enough to do a Burnley, if they have the right manager in place, or are they going to struggle badly in the Championship? The annoying thing is that two of them, Southampton and Leicester have been here before and seem not to have learned, or just don't care.
