Coldplay - Etihad
Coldplay - Etihad
I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I do fancy seeing them at the Etihad when they play in May/June.
Obviously tickets are sold out but I'm wondering what peoples experience is of buying tickets outside the venue on the day? Are they genuine and can you get them at face value the later it gets?

Get them off Twickets. They're always around face value (plus some fees).

Since touting has become legalized as long as your name is Tickermaster, i'm not sure "people outside the venue" is a thing anymore?

Re: Coldplay - Etihad
As Quoon said just get on Twickets. Had a quick look and there's tickets on there for face value or less with options of 1, 2 or 4 tickets
Re: Coldplay - Etihad
Coldplay = Background music at a push. They are just so limp.
Not my cup of tea but enjoy.

Drummer in our band (all original songs) announced last night he was leaving us to go on a world tour with a Coldplay tribute. They make enough for him to give up his job.
It's weird what the punters want these days.

Anyone else with 6000 points who missed out in the ballot ?
Re: Coldplay - Etihad
Like their music or not, I bet they’ll put on a very good show.
It’s not my sort of music but I don't really get all of the criticism they get or the ridicule people wanting to watch them receive. It’s not exactly marmite music that they play.
There are plenty of bands and genres out there that I’d have thought far more deserving of the love / hate view that is seen with Coldplay.

Burnley fans have had some **** days at The Etihad but this would rank amongst the worst.

Re: Coldplay - Etihad
I'd love to catch them at a festival, wouldn't pay to attend their gig though.
When the tickets went on sale for this gig my 16 year old niece wanted 3 but wasn't available to buy them (college possibly) so my wife queued for 2 hours. When she got through only £200 tickets were available, which was a little too much for teenage to shell out.
I'll keep an eye on twickets

Re: Coldplay - Etihad
Not really my kind of music but ended up with tickets to watch them a few year back. Reluctantly went with my wife who begrudgingly went too. I thought they were great, really really enjoyed it. Not really listened to them since and haven’t been back to watch them but I’d always recommend seeing them live once to anyone.

Ticketmaster are a joke these days. Tried for Blink 182 tickets on sale and they are extortionate.tarkys_ears wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 1:27 pmSince touting has become legalized as long as your name is Tickermaster, i'm not sure "people outside the venue" is a thing anymore?
Re: Coldplay - Etihad
I saw them at the Etihad a few ago, I took a spare ticket of a family member who couldn't go last minute. I went for the day out on the lash round Manchester rather than to see them but I must admit they were very good and I've seen lots of live bands. They certainly put everything into their shows, not many can pull off the huge stadium gig but they can.

Saw them at Wembley last August, fantastic show, and have Etihad tickets for Saturday 3rd June. They are brilliant live, and always put on a great show. Their music may not be to everyone’s taste, but who’s is? Each to their own, I like ‘em.

Don't consider myself a fan but appreciated an odd song and went to see them when a mate offered me a last minute ticket for the Manchester Arena. Their live show is superb.

Re: Coldplay - Etihad
I’ll be there. Day before my birthday coincidentally. My daughter got four tickets the day they went on sale. She came to our house and waited till they went on sale. Joined the online queue twenty minutes before they went on sale and was about twenty thousandth (literally) in the queue. They are going on a different day though as we couldn’t get tickets together. To give a price example if you do try to buy, we paid £170 for two, but we are waaaay up in the gods on the third tier about two hundred miles from the stage. Thankfully they put on a terrific light show.
