Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Both leaving the unspeakables on a free. Would you take either?
It’s gonna be hilarious to see how they do next season without them.

Dack would be a good bet for Salford if they go up as would Sorba Thomas

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Dack has had a lot of issues, and I wouldn't want him near our club, but to be fair to him, he was a very promising footballer and his career has been totally ruined by a series of serious injuries.
He has looked v poor when I've seen him this season.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
I would have taken a younger Dack. He could have gone a long way but for all the injuries he has had.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
The injuries have clearly done for Dack but Brereton doesn’t look good enough to me.

I’ve been shocked how bad he was in the two games against us given he was being touted as ‘best striker in the Championship’.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 5:50 pmThe injuries have clearly done for Dack but Brereton doesn’t look good enough to me.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Dack's a football player?
Well I never.
Well I never.
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Obviously we're not going to be interested in Dack (although tbf he was once a decent if slightly porky footballer) and the other scruffs' of to Spain isn't he ?
But it would be good to go for one of them just to see the mouth frothers, froth a bit more.
They're still upset that we beat them after they'd (apparently) 'played us off the purrk' at Ewood t'other night. Bless 'em.

Cheeky bid for Wharton would please me, the rest are not good enough
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Dack in league 2, yes.
Brereton if he would sit on the bench but he wouldn't. Hit and miss and we have better already.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Dack was great till the injuries
I'm sure that he's not good enough for the level we are at though
Rovers do tend to let players go on frees rather than sell though, which just highlights the very weird relationship their owners have with the club

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Brereton Diaz is the most overrated championship player in history.
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Brereton Diaz looks like he’s towing a caravan when he runs. Not sure what he offers aside from some nice finishes now and then. I’m amazed Villarreal are signing him.
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Rovers won't miss them, neither have done anything this season,in fact they will be all the better off without them.

Dack is absolute toss. Brereton has ability but he was a right lazy ******* in both games against us - wouldn’t last 5 mins under VK.

No F.... Way!
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Whilst it was only in glimpses against us - fortunately - I think Brereton Diaz looks a decent player. Whilst he should be able to settle quickly in Spain he'll be tested in terms of the level.
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Neither are good enough for our championship team let alone Premier league team.
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Not a chance they are not good enough
Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
According to the BBC:
Just shows how differently both clubs have fared over the past 6 seasons. He picked out the 1-0 win at Doncaster which secured promotion back to the second tier as the highlight of his time with Blackburn.
"Honestly, what a season. What an incredible night. Seeing Charlie score the winner there was absolutely incredible. And to have 4,000 fans there, it's probably the best night of my career, so I want to thank you for that."

I’ll be stunned if BBD is starting in Spain come October. Well short for that level.

Some stupid questions get posed on here.
Would you take either? I wouldn’t take them for my Sunday league pub team.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
They get giddy about every mid table Championship striker they have. Rhodes, Gestede, Armstrong, Dack, Diaz. All solid enough 2nd tier plodders but there’s a reason they’re playing there.

Imagine Rovers are kicking themselves for not cashing in on either of them. They would have got decent money for Dack before the injuries struck.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Whilst we are on the subject of Rover’s free transfers, I note that Luton’s regular left back is Amarii Bell, a player they let go on a free a couple of years ago who could be playing Premier League footy next season.

Both of them are a bit weighty
Maybe they are both leaving to start a new career as a comedy duo
Hello it’s…..Brad & Ben
We both weigh 14 stone 10
Catchphrase needs a little work….

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Ask any Rovers fan and they will tell you Brereton is actually sh!te. Yes he scores a few goals but apparently offers nothing and ‘disappears’ for long periods of the game. Their best period of the season was actually when he wasn’t playing.

Dack is a poundland version of Robbie Blake, agree also the Brereton is about the laziest forward I saw last season

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
In the 2014/15 season, Rovers had Rhodes and Gestede both on 20+ goals and still didn’t trouble the Top 6, at the business end of the season. What a wasted chance that was.NottsClaret wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 10:24 pmThey get giddy about every mid table Championship striker they have. Rhodes, Gestede, Armstrong, Dack, Diaz. Brad n Ben. Sound like a couple of BBC children’s presenters. That’s more likely where they’ll be plying their trade in a couple of seasons. You couldn’t make a decent player out of both of em. Useless.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Bradley Dack is their Mike Conroy / Adie Randall type of player..... funny to see them talk about winning the league..... and then crying because a lower league journeyman is leaving, having had little impact at Championship level.

Re: Bradley Dack and Ben Brereton
Diaz by far and away their biggest contributor goals/assists last season despite his poor second half and Dack is remarkably productive stats wise given his limited playing time.
Both a big miss in terms of ability/quality compared with the rest of the team. They needed a forward before Diaz left now they have a massive gap to plug.
I’d imagine they are on £20k+ each but that only leaves you £2-2.5m to play with.
