Tonight's Footy
Tonight's Footy
Boro v Cov currently 0-0. Can't decide who I want to go through.
City 1 0 up against Real . Hope City win

Madrid have been awful so far. Could be over at half time if they don't improve quickly.

Makes our performance at the Etihad look even better tbh
They were in their stride when we played them… gives me even more optimism for next season

Re: Tonight's Footy
Madrid not pressing, City have as much time and space as they want. When Madrid do get the ball back they're struggling to string 2 passes together. Modric looks like he's playing with his eyes closed.

That’s probably the most dominant half of football in such a big game I’ve ever seen.

What a first half display from Man City. Madrid can’t get hold of the ball to try and get it forward. City could be four nil up already.....and some people say they find their “tippy tappy” football boring.

Re: Tonight's Footy
City are pretty good
Re: Tonight's Footy
About as one sided a game as you're likely to see.
Madrid all over the place. No energy, no press, no movement, disorganized at the back and unable to string 2 passes together...yet still trying to play it around at the back and getting overrun.
City just the opposite. Probably the easiest 45 minutes they've had all season. Someone needs to remind Ancelotti that he's not at Everton any more.

Re: Tonight's Footy
It's boring when they mess about with it at the back. When they play attacking like they are tonight it's good to watch.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 8:51 pmWhat a first half display from Man City. Re: Tonight's Footy
Watching both games at once, think McNally is ready to play back up to our centre halves,if we let him go I reckon we might regret it in the long run,or if Coventry go up charge them an arm ,and a leg, because if they do they’res no chance we get their centre forward.

Re: Tonight's Footy
you saw last week that City were no where near the pace they could play at because of the roof and heat in Madrid, I knew they would be better tonight but **** me that first 45 was an insane level, Madrid couldn't breathe. Still 45 to go though and if any team on planet earth can turn that around it's Madrid

Re: Tonight's Footy
I know they haven't won the big one yet but that has to be one of the best club sides ever assembled.
They absolutely blow past teams and can do it in any which way they desire - big and strong at the back, dominant & skilfull in midfield and absolutely lethal up top

That’d be the ideal scenario, Coventry or Luton coming up.

Modric subbed on 63 minutes. About 60 minutes late

Re: Tonight's Footy
Seems like a silly question but you never know - does a red card in the play off 2nd leg mean a ban from the final?
Re: Tonight's Footy
It would do, surely? Unless they appeal and it’s delayed.distortiondave wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 9:22 pmSeems like a silly question but you never know - does a red card in the play off 2nd leg mean a ban from the final?

Only if the team who’s player gets sent off wins the tie.distortiondave wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 9:22 pmSeems like a silly question but you never know - does a red card in the play off 2nd leg mean a ban from the final?

Would McNally get 2 promotion bonuses I wonder if Cov go up? I think he looks good and this loan has been fantastic for him.

Re: Tonight's Footy
Has the linesman gone home? The ball was way over the line for a goal kick and nothing given.
