That is definitely eclectic. Nice. No shame in liking what you like. Just surprised me. I'm a massive Beach Boys fan too. Kokomo is in my top 10 ever songs
Indeed. Love it. That album ‘Still Cruisin’ is very good. I love Somewhere Near Japan (cracking intro)

Definitive Gaze, Real Life, Magazine.
Roadrunner, Modern Lovers, Modern Lovers.
A couple that just missed it, I Wanna be your Dog is second on The Stooges album and Another Girl Another Planet is second on the Only Ones album.
Another Girl Another Planet is one of my favourite singles.

Timsshorts...you make a very valid point and its a long way to the the top is one of my favourite songs...bagpipes and all...however in my defence...back in black is the first album with Brian.. which makes it valid...sort of.

Exactly my choice too. 34 years after I first heard it, I still get goosebumps when I hear that opening bassline
I know what you mean, bit of a cliche picking the Roses but still takes me back to being a teenager every time I hear it rumbling in.

Other openers which set the tone, maybe Turn the Page by the Streets, Rock and Roll Star, Disorder. I think Jesus and Mary Chain’s ‘Just like honey’ was their first too, although not 100% on that.

Sometimes - Stranglers from Rattus Norvegicus

Unknown Pleasures - depends if you consider the Inside or the Outside to be side one - so either Disorder or She's Lost Control

From the opening track Baba O'Riley to the sublime ending of Won't get fooled again
