Feel for the Coventry lad. Horrible way to lose a game of that magnitude.

Now Luton are up it's no longer a debate as to which town is the biggest shithole in the Championship Luton or Blackburn.
Re: Coventry City v Luton Town
Pretty hilarious that Watford sacked Rob Edwards after promising to back him ‘come hell and high water’, for him then to take their main rivals to the Prem. It’s not quite winning the league at Ewood but it’s up there.

Looks like it was a medical issue for Lockyer, but thankfully he appears to be ok.

Far too many of these incidents these days. Hopefully someone is looking into why….agreenwood wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 8:30 pmLooks like it was a medical issue for Lockyer, but thankfully he appears to be ok.

Over 85,000.
You'd have thought it wouldn't have attracted a larger attendance than our game against Sheff United.

I missed it why they did. why did Coventry take that black lad Palmer off after bringing him on?
He didn't look injured and he looked part decent when on.

I can't understand why that pink unemployed poster Stan needs Google to find out Kasey Palmer's first name?

Chuffed to bits for Rob Edwards and Luton Town. He is a Shropshire lad and my eldest son used to play in the same junior team as him and against him. Good level headed lad from a nice family. Watford must be kicking themselves binning him after just ten games of the season.

Gustavo Hamer - Coventry. Coventry had all the right penalty takers, but didn’t necessarily use them in the right order
A note on Lockyer, really pleased for him, one of the best CBs over the season, terrible that medical incident, from the picture he had an ECG wired up, best wishes and hope he is OK for the PL. Luton deserve it, not over one year but over ten. Done brilliantly to come back.

1 of them on another day another toss of the coin the result could have gone either way, best of luck for both next season apart from 2 fixtures for Luton.

Re: Coventry City v Luton Town
Have there been that many?.....I can think of 3 in the past 20 yrs or so, maybe there are others, but most related to undiagnosed medical problems, nothing to do with football, or anything the conspiracy theorists would like you to believe.
Unfortunately it happens in all walks of life, and given the number of footballers there are in the world the law of averages means some are going to suffer some sort of medical incident unfortunately.
Re: Coventry City v Luton Town
Some fair away trips for us next season then. By my count there's 10 clubs in London and the South coast. Half of the league.

7 in London - Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham, West Ham
2 on south coast - Bournemouth, Brighton
and add Luton to that which makes 10

Never knew that, great info .Some recompense for getting to the final tho.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 7:58 pmLuton now become the 51st team to play Premier League football ... Coventry get all the revenue, after costs, of the Championship play-off final, an arrangement that's been in place for over 20 years now.
Quite a bit short of the £140 million it's worth the Luton tho.
Luton need to spend it either on a new ground or expand Kenilworth road.
11000 capacity is a joke really.
Re: Coventry City v Luton Town
I reckon the coin toss for the shootout should be for the choice of which end or who goes first. The loser would get the one not chosen.
Luton won both tosses and gained a good advantage.
