Post by jsb1990123 » Sat Jun 03, 2023 9:10 am

Anyone know if there are any pre season friendlies being lined up at the turf this summer?

Blackburn at home, if they scrape a draw, we'll let them have their photo taken with the Championship Winner's Trophy.
Only fair really.

Why would the owners of a football club organise a match with the manager they sacked new team?

What we’re going to pay Anderlecht to play them in a friendly? Okay.

Winston
I was answering a general question. I think that most club owners would do pretty much anything for the right amount of cash. Money talks.

That’s often the case for foreign teams to come and play abroad in friendlies.

I've not heard Anderlecht but you have to pay teams to come and play you just as we'd expect some payment if we went to play somewhere.

I thought this. Took my then 4 year old son to the friendly against Hannover…..match abandoned at half time due to the sports direct attire wearing Neo nazis wanting to fight.

My son was almost 3 for the Hannover game for his first turf visit, memorable for the wrong reasons!
