Stan celebrates his 77th birthday today. He already knows there’s a pint paid on for him later today.

Stan is happily retired and tending his garden takes up a lot of time. He was working on it, when I spoke to him.

Juan Tanamera, Stan hasn’t changed. If you ever got to know him as a person, rather than a football player,manager, you would see, he is a genuine, likeable knowledgeable man, who can hold a conversation on a host of subjects and enjoys the banter with the lads. Plus he got his birthday pint from me.

One of the best day for us fans was seeing Stan parade around the ground to receive the applause he so much deserved. A true Burnley legend and my best description of him is he was ' nobody's fool'
