Rather controversial don't you think? Using Hitlers' and the Nazis favourite composer? Then it's used in this film during the annihilation of that village.Jel wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 8:27 amApocalypse Now, Ride of the Valkyries would create a daunting atmosphere.

Re: Welcome to Hell
Hells Bells AC/DC blasting out, lights dimmed and a well timed walk out.
Re: Welcome to Hell
I might have this wrong but it appeared to me that VK was asking the FANS to make Turf Moor Hell. That would suggest he is wanting a wall of sound from all the stands throughout the game as a rocking Turf Moor is an intimidating place to be.
Not sure he was asking for entrance music and lighting ideas!

JJ Watt runs out waving a Claret and White Monochrome flag, with blasts of fire and smoke while Rammstein blasts:

Re: Welcome to Hell
Solemn or intimidatory music like Kashmir or Highway to Hell sounds a good idea until you consider it’s as likely to pump up the opposition as scare them. I’d just make the opposition cone out on their own, after our lads, and play the Warner Brothers /Loony Toons cartoon music as they run out .

Re: Welcome to Hell
I’m neither a ****** up or coked up yob as I don’t do the former much at all, and have never done the second. Not everybody who thinks different than yourself has to be some kind of extreme caricature just because you disagree, we’re talking about intimidation to help the team, that’s all.CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 5:34 pmThink I would rather just watch the game to be honest, rather than act like a p****d up or c***d up yob.
That’s just me I guess.

I found it an uplifting message from Kompany. You just know what he means , he knows the importance of a good home record and you only have to look at Notts Forest last season

Re: Welcome to Hell
We need:
Everyone to get behind the lads, singing their hearts out, joining in with the songs. And maybe more whistling, etc when the opposition has possession. We can do that as fans.
We also need:
-A walk out song
-Flags
The clubs need to sort that.
Bit of a longer-term thing but as we redevelop the ground we need the fans right on top of the pitch, as close as we can get them.

Re: Welcome to Hell
Just because a Facist despot and his his deluded followers decided to like a composer. Then a film director chose to use the music in a film doesn't make the music any less evocative.2 Bee Holed wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 11:47 amI don't understand why you've said that, but I can take it, and move on.

Re: Welcome to Hell
Now, in light of the discussion on here about our shirt sponsors. Especially the meaning of 88 in Germany, plus we then think of your suggested music, do you feel any differently? What do you think the combined image would be of our club? It isn't great after the plane at the Etihad.

Re: Welcome to Hell
I have no problem with intensifying the atmosphere but hope they do not start allowing enormous flags and banners into the stands. I give fair warning that anyone obscuring my view during the game will end up needing to have the flag surgically removed.
