Malta v England
Tough game for Southgate’s lions tonight. Who’s watching? I’ll go for a closely contested 6-0 victory for the tourists.

Re: Malta v England
Just put it on, channel 4.
No doubt she'll want to put love Island on at 9. If I was watching Burnley, she'd have to go upstairs, but England, it's hardly must watch TV, particularly given the opposition.

Forgot this was on.
Re: Malta v England
I find England games look a lot like Sean Dyche cup games.
I'm at the pub instead.

3-0 and you feel the Malta manager will need to make a couple of changes if they are going to win this.

How are Guehi and Maguire starting for England?
Bad pairing and neither warrant it

Re: Malta v England
I'm not a Maguire fan by any means but he never seems to put a foot wrong for country, even against the better teams (from memory). We do need someone quality to partner Stones in the future, though.
Re: Malta v England
For all England's strength in depth when players like Mings get a game it shows that in certain positions there isn't too much quality.

Re: Malta v England
3-0 up away at Malta and we bring on the likes of Rashford instead of Eze, as much as I try to understand him I can't work Southgate out, utterly pointless calling players up to not play them

Are those decisions what we have to come this season, one of the worst I've ever seen....shocking.
Re: Malta v England
Felt bad for the Maltese defender there, what's he meant to do?

Re: Malta v England
I know he’s out injured, but Pope considering what Pickford had to do, he could have easily added another cap by playing today
Re: Malta v England
A 4 goal masterclass and 66% possession.
Surely Gareth is first in line for the City job when Pep leaves?

Re: Malta v England
I know we had James Maddison tonight and Sam Johnstone previously, but the last actual player (mid season Championship) to be called up and play was Wilfried Zaha in 2012 when he was at Palace, a couple of months before he moved to Man Utd.

Re: Malta v England
Because strictly* was on the TV and he wanted an arm transplant so that she could work the off switch?
* Mrs browns boys, eastenders, Blackburn rovers, love island and others would work equally well here.
