O2 Apollo Manchester Parking
Anybody been over there and know the best place to park?
Not fussed if it costs a bit of money (don’t want to fork out a fortune) but going over in a few weeks with the old man for a gig and seeing if anyone has any tips of anywhere decent for some food around there and parking etc?

It's a while since I've been to The Apollo but there's not much around it (or at least there wasn't). It's not to far a walk from the city centre though. Plenty of street parking around the venue.

I’ve parked without trouble almost opposite, near ardwick green park.
There are about 3-4 paid carparks opposite the park on higher ardwick though.
Food choices around it are shocking though, without a good 20 minute walk

Can't help with eateries. But if you drive past the Apollo about 200 metres further on there is a post office depot. I always park down the side of that. Failing that, there is usually space on the main road opposite McDonald's.

Was there for a gig last year. Got there mid afternoon and parked up adjacent to the park ( it’s across the road to the right as you come out of the Apollo ). Walked into city centre for food n drinks then back for concert. Simples.
Re: O2 Apollo Manchester Parking
I’ve always got a taxi from the city centre to the Apollo. Was about £6.50 in an Uber in April.

Try YourParkingSpace
We always use them when driving to away games or concerts

Re: O2 Apollo Manchester Parking
There’s a car park on the other side of the roundabout to the Apollo. I think you’d call it an independent provider. I’ve always parked there and even though they cram the cars in have never encountered any issues. I think it costs £5.

I parked there last year to see Bono with yourpakingspace and was literally 2 or 300 yards away on somebody's drive

Re: O2 Apollo Manchester Parking
I've always parked on the car park across the roundabout at £10 a go. It's well-marshalled, worth the peace of mind and the marshals get you away pretty quickly afterwards.
As a comparison, the pre-booked car park I was on for Springsteen at Villa Park last night was 20 minutes walk away, cost me £20 (seemingly as did all car parks around Villa Park last night) and was a complete nightmare to access.

Another one here to recommend YourParkingSpace or JustPark.
Re: O2 Apollo Manchester Parking
Aye there's a car park just over the road for a tenner. As someone said above, they crsm them in but its well marshalled and secure. The entrance/exit is on Dolphin Street.

Just looked back and I used myparkingspace & parked on Beamish Close M13. Cost me £8.49 from 1pm to 11.30pm. Its 0.2miles away from the Apollo. We walked into the city centre for a couple of drinks and to eatbfccrazy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 9:30 pmAnybody been over there and know the best place to park?

Theres a Park & Ride at Ashton (free) park there, right next to M60, jump on tram into centre, about 10-15 min ride to Man Pic.
