I used to do ok answering the questions listening to the radio version (mid teen to 20's scores) and was going to apply to be on this.

Watching last night's episode on catch up I'm glad I didn't complete the application form now as I'd have sucked :D

Just watched it for the first time. Bloody hell, i'd not even heard of half the artists in the questions and answers.

Just watched the first on on catch up…..thought it was a ‘bit long winded’ to be honest…..don’t know if we’ll bother with the rest!

I’ve just watched the second one. I thought it dragged a bit and I have to honest and say I didn’t get too many correct answers.

The guy from aberdare seemed pretty invincible.

The top 10 they selected from Feb. 1977 showed just how necessary the punk movement was. What a heap of absolute shyte was being bought.

The problem is the demographic is older than than the modern questions, so you’ll find very knowledgeable contestants not having a clue about much after 2000.
I agree with the remarks about it dragging a bit but it’s much better than the BBC’s awful Hit List.

I think the Hit List is a great format. Suffers slightly like most prime time game shows in that it appears you have to be an over excitable tool to get on the show.

Watched Popmaster last night and thought it was very difficult. I used to do ok on the radio version but I do better on University Challenge than I did on that last night.

Watched this last night and it felt like something you would see on UK Gold next to Bullseye but not as good

Well I liked it 🤷‍♂️

Ken is a good presenter, the questions are challenging but gettable and I like how it ends with the ‘classic’ Popmaster format. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of other shows, but not sure it needs it. Maybe it could lose one of the rounds as agree sometimes it drags, but the question pace is decent overall.
