Summertime and the living is easy

Post by dermotdermot » Mon Jun 19, 2023 10:07 pm

Fish are jumping and the cotton is high.

We've already got hosepipe bans despite record rainfall levels in April and beaches being closed by the dozen on account of record levels of untreated sewage being pumped into the sea. Welcome to sunny Great Britain.

The water companies used to be regulated whereby these things were prevented. Oh, wait a minute..............................

We need more reservoirs but we've got idiots like this one near me blocking new ones being built.

What's the point of being rich. If you can't think what to do with it 'Cos you're so bleeding thick.

Desalination plants run.on renewable energy will become very prominent I would have thought, especially in the South East.

you don't have a water shortage, you can't deliver the supply quickly enough so they are limiting it - decades of under funding

Maybe they could power these plants with all the sewage that is pumped into the sea.
