Do we know rough numbers of people who would use said transport, I have emailed Stadscafe to enquire about possible transport, be useful to know what size vehicle we are looking for.

i dont think you can expect the club to cater for fans who've chosen where to stay, its a fair response.

I’d be interested for sure. I’d assume if that’s where majority of fans will be heading then be a decent number

Definitely and there's no gripe from me that they aren't doing anything, but always worth asking the question.

Two here. I do think local taxis/Uber should be ok but this would be easier.

Only round the corner from the train station so I imagine a local taxi very easy to get hold of there, Uber seems expensive in Genk when I've checked the prices.

Oh definitely, wasn’t any harm in asking the question was it. And they were good enough to give a fair and detailed response too.

I have been emailed by Stadscafe some local coach operators so have sent some emails out for prices. I count 13 so far on here so even that is enough for a minibus between us. Will report back with prices if/when I get them back.

I have a bit of a problem. I'm booked on the 12.50 friday Manchester to Charleroi flight and travelling by train to the Genk or Hasselt area. I received a match ticket on e.mail. I'm going home on Sunday from Charleroi at 12.50 also. Thing is I've not found any suitable accommodation for an individual traveller at anyway near the right price. Costs for one person were unbelievable. I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know of a spare bed I could use for 2 nights while over there? I'm house trained, don't snore or smell much, and I'm willing to split the cost. Hope someone can be of assistance....

Might be worth staying in Brussels if you've not looked there (I suspect you already have), I think the 22:07 from Genk is going to Brussels and there's a fair few on it. You could also look at where the train stops and look at any of those as the smaller towns may have some cheaper accommodation.

Download an app called Super. I got my room for two nights in Hasselt for £55 cheaper than it was showing on booking.com

We are staying at the hotel aqua, about 20 minutes walk from the grand place. The trains coming to and from genk are every hour, last one is about 9pm. Having been to Belgium twice in the past year, I've found the trains to be punctual and decent.
The area in genk to eat and drink looks next to the trainstation. There are buses that run near to the ground or could always grab a taxi
We're staying a couple of miles from Brussels South Charleroi Airport, land in on Thursday, flight home is 6am Sunday morning so our concern is getting back to the hotel after the game.... :|

Hi Andy

We have a triple room near Charleroi Airport, from Thursday to Sunday (will be leaving hotel around 3am Sunday morning). It's a double with a bunk over the top so if you struggle you can crash on our floor..... dive of a hotel so doubt they'll check.

Just to keep everybody in the loop.

I've received a no off Jacobs autocars due to no availability. I'm awaiting replies from Keolis (https://www.keolis.be/nl) and Kroon Reizen (https://www.kroonreizen.be/). These are the companies I got from Stadscafe, hoepfully one of them can do it

If you manage to get the 21:07 train from Genk to Brussels the last airport transfer from Brussels Midi is at 11pm, that takes you back to Charleroi so could get a taxi from the airport from what I read

I've emailed Taxi Genk this morning to enquire about the possibility of laying on a coach or just prebooking minibuses, at the very least we know we have numbers to share smaller transport between us.

Apologies all but I've had 4 no's off 4 different coach companies.

We do have a list of people though all looking at transport to/from the same place so might as well all taxi share to split the costs?
