Don't miss the return of Sean!
Amazingly, there are only 183 tickets left for Sean's return to Turf Moor in December! Don't miss the chance to thank him for everything he did for Burnley.
Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!

Does anyone actually believe he will still be at Everton by then?

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
The Burnley fans who know something about football should be thanking him wholeheartedly for what he did for Burnley when he comes back with whatever team he is with .
I for one will be joining them

Hoping he gets an applause and his team gets a stuffing. Don't understand why any Burnley fan would hope for anything different.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
If Eddie Howe had stayed a few months longer or left a couple of months earlier, the recent history of Burnley Football Club would have been very different.
If there's a standing ovation I'll be joining in.
If there isn't, I'll be starting one.
Then we'll smash 'em 5 - 0.

If Pace hadn’t listened to the players and sacked Dyche in April 2022 it could have been very different also.gawthorpe_view wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 2:09 pmIf Eddie Howe had stayed a few months longer or left a couple of months earlier, the recent history of Burnley Football Club would have been very different.

Dyche provided some of my best memories but it’s in the past for me. I hope we do smash ‘em 5-0.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
Do you reckon he will pace the pitch out like he does all away games or trust it's the same size it's always been?

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
It's not so much SD for me as just wanting to beat Everton. They have ridden their luck twice now. SD ought to be given a good reception though.

He derserves a round of applause when he appears . After that he’s a Toffee not a Claret
Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make Everton's first game, never mind one in December.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
183 tickets left for a game in December is a very good effort regardless of Sean’s return.
I imagine we’ll get to full sellout on most games before the season begins once the window opens up.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
He's only 7th favourite to be sacked in the PL according to the latest odds, which I find quite surprising.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 1:09 pmDoes anyone actually believe he will still be at Everton by then?
Even more surprising they have Kompany as 11th favourite, so I don't think these odds mean much.
I would have thought the chances of Burnley sacking Kompany at any point are pretty remote. He'll leave of his own accord.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
I’ll treat it the same as when we played Fulham in the third tier. The players gave the champions a guard of honour then proceeded to get stuck in to em and beat them 1-0. SD will always be a legend in my eyes but I hope we absolutely stuff his team.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
We owe him a lot. Craig Bellamy said recently that VK & his team couldn’t do what they are doing without the job that Sean Dyche did.
He will get the reception deserving of him from me when he walks across the pitch but then that’s that as far as I’m concerned, it’s all about beating his team.

Re: Don't miss the return of Sean!
Everton need stability & that's exactly what Sean provides, if he consistently keeps them out of the danger zone for a season or 2 & they let him build with backing there's no reason why he can't stay at Everton. As long as reasonable progress is being made I don't think he'll be under any sort of pressure.nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 5:30 pmHe's only 7th favourite to be sacked in the PL according to the latest odds, which I find quite surprising.

Don't get these threads
He'll get a standing ovation as he walks across the pitch to thank him and then he'll be called a c**t by everyone as soon as the game kicks off
As it should be
