Start of the tail comes in at 3

Not many international sides can claim that (hopefully he now gets 100+)

That lbw against Crawley was a shocker. You don't give it because you think it "might" have been out.
P1ss poor umpiring.

Crazy bad decision wasn’t even remotely close

Plus they missed them plumb LBWs when the Aussies were batting

Think OT holds 26,000 with the large temporary stand in situ.

Aussies out of ideas.

Head on to bowl some part time spin and gets tonked for 10 in his first two balls.

Run rate of 6.7 this session - rode our luck a bit at times but we’re giving it to the Aussies

This is where the lads need to keep their head. Especially Crawley this is his opportunity to solidify his position with a big century

They do but we also want to win the game - with a predicted wash out Saturday we need to get on it.

At least their tactic of going short isn’t working (so far) Moeen seems happy to duck/leave

Having said that he just pulled a short ball for one

I agree but we have plenty of fire power to come if we can get close to 200 with 6-7 wickets in hand. The lads coming in can play t20 stuff

Root in, been pretty poor this series, a good knock would be nice.

Almost halfway to their total for the loss of two wickets. Really hope we don't collapse now and can build up a good lead.

There's a saying in local cricket.

You pay for the whole of the bat, use it.

Been a very controlled, composed and entertaining batting display since lunch. There have been some wonderful shots, I'm really glad to see Crawley have such a good knock.

I'd genuinely be interested if they want to get 400-450 ASAP just to entice the Aussies in for a game of what remains. Tomorrow looks sunshine with potential isolated, showers, so hopefully get 80-90 overs in. Saturday looks an absolute misery and Sunday better but still unknown.

Be cracking to get the Aussies with maybe a small lead of 100 or less by end of tomorrow for 4-5 wickets down so still hanging in the balance somewhat before the interuptions

Are you related to Zak Crawley by any chance? Your very sensitive to any criticism about him.

He's been outstanding today and he deserves to get full plaudits for it, but that's not to say balances out poor performances of the past.

Even Ricky Pointing commented it's a great knock, but 4 centuries in 37 tests for your opening batsmen still a long way off any form of consistency. Which is pretty much what people have been saying all series on here.

We give credit where its due, we give criticism where its due.
