DudePerfect
Means nothing to me but they are apparently a YouTube sensation and will be the front of shirt sponsor for our academy teams next season.
Re: DudePerfect
Will definitely get our name out there further looking at the numbers they bring in on You Tube.

This is big. Don't watch their stuff but plenty do! They basically try and throw a ball into a bin. They edit out all the times they miss and keep in the time they did it. And it's v popular.

59m subscribers on YT. Both my kids instantly recognised their name.
This is a pretty big deal I’d say.

They've done some fun videos with NFL players (possibly other sports, I don't know), wonder if they will have one of our players as a guest.

Re: DudePerfect
I have to say I'd never heard of them but the numbers on their YouTube channel are very impressive. And the content they produce is very watchable - they're getting tens of millions of views on other platforms like TikTok as well.
In terms of 'money in' from a traditional sponsor deal POV it'll be bugger all but from an engagement/marketing POV it's potentially huge.

Just asked my 11 year old who days they are awesome.
Great strategy to get younger fans across the globe. Massive numbers of followers and views. It's very positive and together with JJ Watt we are going to get a much higher profile..

That’s pretty big. No doubt that JJ has played his part here.

Re: DudePerfect
That looks to be the case. I always think it's poor when kids can't have shirts that the players where because of the betting sponsorship, and generally they've preferred a shirt with nothing on rather than a charity or different sponsor. As I posted at the top of the thread, they mean nothing to me, but clearly they are a sponsor who younger people will engage with and that can only be positive.Ightenhill_Claret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 5:31 pm

Re: DudePerfect
Just seen a clip they did with Rory McIlroy so they seem very big and high profile. I suspect to make us everyone’s favourite underdog the club have to be seen as “cool”. This will help.
Sad to say it but dining out on our decades of relative historical success, much as us core fans like me love to, doesn’t really do much to win new fans around the world, it is this kind of stuff that will. It means a lot of the output coming from social media won’t do much for me, but that’s OK, I’m getting old these days and we need a new generation.

Not true.
I dropped a frozen one on my foot once. Very painful.

Fair enough, it does to me (whether it’s indirect through JJ’s exposure or directly involved in the arrangement).aggi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 6:35 pmThis?

I didn't mean it as we are paying them (although it's not out of the question), they will be exposing our brand to tens of millions of people worldwide.Winstonswhite wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 6:42 pmSo we’re paying them to what, use our shirts in their content? I’d be interested to see how tbh

I’m assuming they would have a W88 shirt on

Re: DudePerfect
In terms of exposure, this is huge.
However this kind of deal could only happen because the club has improved it's own social media presence over the last 18mths and also because of the huge changes on the pitch.
Well done to all at the club for the changes and long may it continue.

One of their YouTube videos has over 400 million views.
Others 2-300 million.
That's an incredible amount of exposure the club could get.

Re: DudePerfect
The rules are ridiculous.
If an under-18 plays for the under-21s then he cannot wear a shirt with a gambling ad on. We’ve seen this in previous seasons when we’ve had players with and without the gambling ad on their shirts. I think Newcastle were fined a few years ago when some under-18s played with the ad on.
However, the same under-18 player can then step into the first team and play with the gambling ad on his shirt.

Totally. I'd never heard of them. Asked the lad, and he knows exactly who they are.
There's a good chance we're offering the sponsorship for free, but with some form of agreement around a brand partnership of some sort. It could be massive for our 'exposure'.

Re: DudePerfect
If this is a ‘real’ sponsorship and DP start posting Burnley related content etc then it’s the most impressive thing I’ve seen from the new ownership outside of hiring VK

Re: DudePerfect
I imagine the club will have received no money for this partnership as it benefits the club more than DP.
They have massive reach, more than their YouTube numbers suggests. My son who is 7 told me that every boy in his class know who DB are. He is 7 so doesn’t have a YouTube account so can’t subscribe to any account, and I imagine that’s the same for most kids his age. This is a really good partnership for the club.
I’m the first to criticise the owners but this is the type of forward thinking that previous owners wouldn’t have even contemplated
