Friday night in Brussels

Post by 1989_claret » Mon Jul 17, 2023 5:52 pm

Rather than clog up the Genk thread i thought i'd ask to see if anyone else is in Brussels Friday evening for a few beers similar to how we met up in Athens the night before.

I have had a look and O'Neills is a sports bars for the cricket, golf etc and in the centre.

Happy to hear any other suggestions also.

Been in there when England were playing, Ireland were playing and Turkey were playing, all on different telly's. Oh and some Belgian's in Millwall gear.

Did it kick off? Course it did.

I'll see if I can persuade my group to go. You know what it gets like when you've had beer for breakfast though

Think I’ve found where I’ll be watching the opening match of the season!

Where else would you go on a Friday night in Brussels. It's not like it is full of amazing beer places.

If O'Neills isn't serving food and you are looking for a good place to eat then there is a McDonalds about a 10 min walk away

Loving some of the comments

Just picked what seemed the best 'sports bar' in Brussels and hoping to get a few of us to meet up

The above, best bar in Brussels by far. Over 2000 beers, knowledgable owner, loads of sport on TVs, outdoor seating. Home away from home for us on a recent trip.

These are ones I remember
La Fleur en Papier Doré
Poechenellekelder
Greenwich Café Bruxelles
Delirium Café
Café Mort Subite

I'd say Delirum would be the best for a group as it spreads out a fair bit.
