Re: Free Nathan Tella!
Hopefully the sheer outrage that will ensue will make the club feel forced to pay the fee and explain away this attempt at 'banter' as part of a long game plan for his announcement video.

So it's a video describing the feelings of (I would guess) the majority of BFC fans, but it's somehow embarrassing?

If he’s signed then fair enough
If it’s miles off then it’s poor, imo.

Bit of harmless fun. Crikey. Think everyone associated with Burnley would love to see Nathan back in Claret and Blue.

If it let's Nathan know he's still wanted, then objective achieved. Might not be etiquette, but so what if we ruffle a few feathers occasionally. Is it really that big a deal? Lighten up folks.

Seen a few Southampton fans suggesting it’s tapping up the player.
Surely that’s only the case if you’re in direct communication with him. Just nonsense

Re: Free Nathan Tella!
I think a lot of people don’t understand the meaning of the word offended.
Re: Free Nathan Tella!
Think this needs to be announced now ! Or denied by the club - which it won’t be.
Gone from being lighthearted fun I think to a real mess !

What's even more concerning is that Red Leicester cheese is tasteless compared to a strong cheddar but Red Leicester mini cheddars are far tastier than normal mini cheddars.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 12:58 pmI'm more concerned as to why mini cheddars can be made with red leicester

This is being blown out of proportion due to the account having Pace as their surname

Re: Free Nathan Tella!
I've got to be honest and say I was taken aback by this but I trust the club must be on the brink of signing Tella, otherwise it would seem to be very poor form.
Luckily my IQ exceeds my shoe size, so I'm not in the slightest offended by it.

Ditto. really don't get the outrage over this. Compared to the wheeling, dealing and backtracking by footballer agents this is so trivial.burnleymik wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 1:12 pmBit of harmless fun. Crikey. Think everyone associated with Burnley would love to see Nathan back in Claret and Blue.

One of their posters describes Tella as having a "watermelon smile" and suggesting he might be welcomed with a box of bananas. Sometimes "sticks and stones" can taken to excess.

Difference in a bit of banter about a transfer, don’t think there’s too much wrong with the water melon smile ,but the other bit isn’t good at all ,and admin should be all over it.

Some of the comments on this thread are bordering on outrage but maybe not offence. Like the one I’ve quoted above.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 1:46 pmNobody is outraged or offended. Some people think it’s a bit ****.
I think if I was to choose an emotion that’s being displayed then I would say it’s embarrassment, which to be honest,
I also think is rather odd.

Exactly this. Unfortunately those who can't bear other people having different views get called snowflakes (without realising the irony) and have their views misconstrued as being offended.agreenwood wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 1:46 pmNobody is outraged or offended. Some people think it’s a bit ****.

Just watched it and can only think it is part of the reveal within 24 hours. The quality of the video is too professional to be a DIY project from Pace’s daughter.

Re: Free Nathan Tella!
The best case scenario is that the deal is done and this is a contrived attempt to make it look like a 'Free Nathan Tella' campaign delivered the deal and Daddy got it done for the masses...
In the worst case scenario....the use of 'Free Nelson Mandela' becomes a news story.

Re: Free Nathan Tella!
Her previous videos have been quite good and professional looking, tbf. I simply refuse to believe Pace would have signed this off without the deal being sorted. The fact the video is still up also suggests that (disclaimer - I have no inside info)

I can only imagine that the deal is done and that negotiations have been difficult and that this was done as a ‘dig’ at Southampton for dragging it out. Still in bad taste though. Only hope that it doesn’t backfire and prevent signatures being signed on dotted lines.

It’s not that hard if you try - hardly a colour graded cinematic masterpiece is it

I love all this new reveal stuff. It certainly beats the old days of a player signing a contract in a grotty looking office with the manager standing behind him.

Re: Free Nathan Tella!
There’s a lot of things to be offended and embarrassed about these days, but this shouldn’t be one of them.
