No one likes us.
No one likes us.
Weve just become Coventry fans number 1 enemy
Re: No one likes us.
Same with any skint team that arent good enough to move divisions
Better sides will come in for their top players
I hope we milk em dry and they finish mid table
Saying that i wanted em to go up with milwall haha

Covpot are absolutely desperate to create a rivalry because their tinpot team doesn’t have one.

Total waste of space of a club. I’m glad they find us nauseating. What has happened with their City of Culture legacy sums the place up.

Re: No one likes us.
I had a "debate" with a Coventry fan on Twitter last year. The guy clearly had no football knowledge what-so-ever. He even said "Genuine question, Would you sell out your end of Wembley if you got to a final". I mean come on, do some research. Even after pointing out that we've played nearly 1,000 more top flight matches than them and sit 20th the all-time Division 1 league table, he still thought we were a tinpot club.
Their issue is they're a real non-entity of a club so the fans have a huge chip on their shoulders. Nobody really cares about them and other than an FA Cup in 1987 they've not won or challenged for anything else in their entire history. They're highest ever league finish is 6th back in 1969–70. I mean we finished 7th under Dyche! There's no doubt they should be bigger given they have a population of nearly 350,000 people, but they're a long way down the pecking order where club histories are concerned. PNE, Portsmouth, Huddersfield etc are far bigger clubs in my opinion.

Yep. Champion under-achievers
Re: No one likes us.
Coventry are a nothing club. Best part of 350,000 folk and average less than 20,000.
Leicester aren't arsed about them, Forest aren't and Derby aren't. They should be focussing on Leamington or Nuneaton.

Re: No one likes us.
I think they get a little confused about us playing out our transfer business in the media.
Sure there's no smoke with our fire, but I think it's fair to say a few of our signings in the Kompany/Pace era have even taken us by surprise sometimes with the speed in which we sign a player.
Amnouni being a prime example.
How many had heard of him before Monday, two days later we sign him.
I think the way some of the rumours are dragged out are more to do with the media than the club.

Re: No one likes us.
Funny seeing those Coventry numpties being disparaging about Burnley. Ironic when the only thing of interest that has happened in that dump was some bird riding her horse through the place with her baps out a thousand years ago

To be fair about it, --Rad85 wasn't completely deluded... he at least has spotted that we have some 'complete bellends' amongst our fanbase.

Re: No one likes us.
It's hilarious when a club within a city some 4 times the size of Burnley comment on us / our gates / our history etc when any simpleton can do a quick bit of research and see that we completely overshadow them in just about every department.
Coventry, a club of such importance even their closest neighbours ignore them.
Deluded, weird bunch of never has beens or ever will be.
Oh well never mind.

Coventry… prisoner of war camp, during the English Civil War… hence sent to Coventry. Home of 2-Tone Records. Took a bashing in the War and is now mainly concrete… and Tommy Hutchinson used to play for them and a bloke who reminded me of a lion called Brian Kilcline. I was once offered a job transfer there… visited, and took the redundancy.

Happens in Coventry every Friday AND Saturday nights too.
Probably the same in most towns and cities across England as well.

Coventry was to have been the location for George Orwell’s study of poverty in England. However - he found it too prosperous - and so The Road to Wigan Pier was written.
